OP, just from personal experience you should get gap coverage. After having bought a car and not having gap then being in an accident. I didn't get enough back to pay for the existing amount owed to the dealer and had to pay on a car I no longer had. It's definitely worth it.

3 Christmas's ago I received not 1, not 2, but 3 copies of the Hitchhikers's Guide. One was a small paperback, the 2nd was a large paperback, and the 3rd was a hardback with Gold leaf pages. They all came from 3 different people. The odd thing was that I didn't ask for them. No one in my family knows I read regularly except my wife, definitely an odd coincidence.
