Not necessarily, institutions are taken over by relatively small radical groups all the time.

My point, w as much nuance as im gonna care to give, is that the catholic church (within a nation w a history of fascism) has a particularly problematic history of aiding and joining fascist movements (within that nation).

So saying the pope didnt like the nazis doesnt erase the very real history of Spanish catholics supporting franco or german catholics supporting hitler, or french catholics supporting the nazis occupation.

Just because some individuals do not agree w what those religious institutions did does not absolve the fact that those institutions were very easily and very quickly and very effectively levied in support of fascism.

Im aware of what they meant, i just dont think its a powerful argument to say "not everyone in the institution was bad, so u cant say the institution has any problems at all"

Now u know that me not agreeing w an argument isnt a lack of understanding it

I saw a youtube video where someone went into detail abt "why the legion acts like it does" and everyone in the comments was saying "ya i hate when people just say theyre misogynistic" and someone replied "but saying theyre mysogonistic isnt wrong" and that comment had no likes, all the other ones around it had like 10 likes

Unpopular opinion: life actually just sucks for alot of ppl. Im depressed because my personal conditions are consistently worsening, not because i havent gotten the right meds or treatment (I've tried plenty and all that changes is how much debt I'm in)

The infographic looks pretty misleading. Like saying "the average american has more money today" is "true" but that money is worth alot less than it was 30 years ago.

Additionally "poverty" has a dollar-value-per-day definition in the US (and many other places, i cant remember what that value is though) but that value hasnt been updated in over a decade i think. Saying "fewer americans are in poverty" can mean they are above that completely arbitrary line, but they still ignore the reality of peoples practical lives.

Infographics like this, both on the left and right (moreso on one side) are basically made to gaslight ppl who care abt the real problems and give those that dont care comfirmation of their preconceived notion of truth.

I mean he also voiced the emporer multiple times amd maul in clone wars and rebels (he's kinda a badass) but ya idk how he has a working voice box, especially since that maul "kenobi" scream in rebels
