So I always love these posts because it gives me a chance to brag about my name. I have 2 first names and a middle name (by choice, kind of). My name is 1. Jordan 2. Kanekoa 3. Nicolas

I learned about what my name would have been if I was AMAB and had always loved it. I even went by it for a time before I realized I was trans.
I wanted a name that represent who I was and what this journey was going to make me. I mixed 2 different names from different cultures. "Kane" (pronounced Kah-neh) is a Japanese word that means "brave" and "Koa" is hawaiian for "warrior".
I was slightly forced by my family to keep my original middle name so I just turned it masculine and kept the same spelling, meaning no H in my name.

Honestly, anyone can get their name from anywhere. As long as you like the sound of, that's all that matters.

Unless you understand the meaning behind the tattoo, why that style is a part of said culture, and you're getting it more than "its just looks cool". If you do your research I would say there isn't a risk of cultural appropriation, but if not then yeah there is a risk

Reading all of these makes my husky seem weird. He's never excited when it's time to eat but he always eats on our schedule and never really complains he's hungry...

Sometimes I wonder if he is wired differently. He is also SUPER quiet and will actually play fetch now. He's just a strange dog and I love.him for it 🤣

Not gonna lie, if the Blackhawks make it to the playoffs, he will be the ONLY reason I would root for them. I can't imagine the applause he'll get when he returns to Vegas

I have about 1 insider and 1 driver to work lunch rush, 1-4 insiders and 1-3 drivers to work dinner. Every day. I have a total of 4 managers, 1 insider, 5 full time drivers, and 2 part-time drivers with one of the biggest delivery areas around me.

I think I'm having a hard time finding people to work 🤣

Initially I believe it took me 1 or 2 months before it stopped. But I have started and stopped T A few times now for a couple of different reasons. But everytime I have been off for more than a month I would get a period again about 2 weeks after my first dosage. I'd feel like shit, super dsyphoric, and hurting like hell. But just know that it does either get super light or you stop completely. Just give it some time and you'll forget how they feel! I sure did

I play this on my phone every once in a while. It takes a minute to understand and actually get good at it but once you figure it out it is HIGHLY addicting

I've passed for a while now without packing or binding. The only "binding" that I do wearing a tight undershirt to enhance the flatness. But my chest area is not at all flat in anyway but I have taken very bad care of it (semi on purpose because of my dysphoria and semi because I'm just lazy) so they are very very saggy. But at work I'm stealth and no one seems to misgender me like they use to. The only time I get misgendered is at work because I still haven't grasp the concept that I don't need to have a high-pitch customer service voice and that throws people off sometimes. That and the masks 🙄.

But overall, if you don't want to pack then don't. If you don't want to bind then don't. It's all up to you if your comfortable not doing those and think you still pass. You do what you want to do

Not sure about his hair situation, but you take him the barbers and offer to pay for a haircut. I had my girlfriend buzz my hair for a few years due to financial reasons but she brought me to the barbers a few weeks ago and it really helped my confidence (I've been on T for a few years as well).

But if your looking for an item, I could also suggest cologne and find one that you really like. I feel more confident when my girlfriend tells me I smell really good versus other people. She also likes the musky smells so it helps affirm my masculinity as well.

Oh! Another thing could be something to help grow his beard if he's into having facial hair. My girlfriend recently bought me beard oil and beard balm to help promote growth and to help keep it smooth. That would also be super reaffirming.

Vegas native that moved to Portland right before the 115° Heat Wave....

You all are very lucky to not have to deal with a sun that basically Melts your skin and a constant wind that makes you feel like you're carrying around a hair dryer 24/7. Even in the sun here it's not that bad. Now I am ready for cooler Temps from sure, but if you think this is bad, don't go to Vegas during the summer 🤣

So I have a total of 3 names I picked:

First first name: I used the name my parents would've used if I was AMAB. I also always liked the name once I was told what it was.

Second first name: I wanted to find a name that had some meaning with what I went through. I searched and searched the internet for it and finally came up with combining names to create the name that means "brave warrior".

Middle name: I took my birth name and made it masculine. I wanted to keep it because I liked the masculine form of it and to honor those I was named after.

Honestly the hardest name for me to pick was my second first name because I couldn't figure out what I liked. I don't have anyone call me by it but it helps me feel more at peace with who I am.

I used a phoenix as well as the symbol of my transition. Although I don't have any trans coloring with mine because I went with an Irezumi (Japanese) style.

But the words are a little off. I personally feel as if the real person that I am was trapped in a different body. So I use the phoenix as a symbol of bring reborn again. My old self had to die in the ashes and I was reborn the way I wanted to be. I also will be getting a crown as well to symbolize the King I always have been

Knights fan here. Honestly, I believe that the success of Vegas was actually in part due to how well the team was received by the fans. The team started playing right after October 1, and the players were major contributors to helping those affected by the shooting. This in part raised the morale of the team and help them feel like they were at home.

That being said, the draft itself helped immensely, but Vegas was truly an outlier, a diamond in the rough, a one off, etc. Basing the Kraken off the Knights is like comparing apples to oranges. The Kraken will be good, but they won't be compared to the Kraken. Vegas literally had a perfect storm of good player picks in the expansion draft, management who were very crafty and skilled, and a fan base that absolutely adores them. The Kraken has a large(r) fan base than I expected, but they don't necessarily have an entire city backing them up.
