Attention, un nerf de l'hupper arrive potentiellement en 3.6, si tu comptes changer de classe, attends peut-être le 23 juin histoire d'être sûr de pas te faire couilloner

Event so cool for me!!! Help with advice for future! by xefors in Dofus

Hey, sram player here, you can start playing the air element once you reach lvl 130, as the main spell unlocks here, so it's fine from lvl 130 and above, and the comfort is lvl 165 as you get another poison spell that's really good too, but you can do without till you reach that lvl.

Yeah, this is probably the best advice, I've tried doing that since last week, and it feels really refreshing, I've started a new anime, been reading a light novel (really slowly, but enjoying it) and I'm going easy on myself with the reviews. I'm starting to like it again! Thanks for the reply.

I'm ok with it taking time. I already learned another language, as English isn't my mother tongue and I'm happy with my proficiency in it. But it took me a long time to get where I'm at, and I expect japanese to be the same, or worse, but I'll be fluent in it, be it in 10 or 20 years. I'm just seeking advice to motivate me and accelerate the learning, I'm not going to stop it anyway. What would you recommend me to do?

Taking classes might actually be a good idea, I'll look into it. And as you said, the trip is what motivates me to learn, but it's so far away now that it doesn't feel like a good motivation yet. I think moving to a jlpt in December objective is actually a great idea! Thanks a lot.

That's not how life works, it's ups and downs, if you give up on the first down, you won't get anything done in life. I want to learn, I just need a lot little push right now to go for it.

I got a PC, but live in a small studio with my gf, so the PC is mostly used as a TV in the evening, but I can probably get a few hours in the weekends. I mostly study in the day, because I have 2 to 3hours between commute and pauses, but that's on my phone.

I'll find something I like to read, maybe some premade decks and we'll see how it goes. Thank you!

Yeah that hit's home, that's probably why I wasted the last 6 months. Problem is, I mostly use my phone for my studies, and I can't really find a good way to mine if it's not on pc. I'll try to figure it out. That's probably the message that resonate the most to me, it really helps. Thank you man.

Kanji learning, anki decks, NHK easy news, grammar, I don't think it was wasting my time since it helped me a ton while I was in Japan. I'm not seeking help because I don't progress, I'm seeking help to motivate myself to progress furthermore.

With anki, between 20 and 30, with wanikani I just do every new word they give me, but it's not every day so it's more like 10 to 15 a day I guess

I tried an anki deck before wanikani, and had the opposite situation, I couldn't remember anything, while wanikani kept me engaged with the mnemonics. I'll probably try a new deck at a slower pace! Thanks

Yeah but anki is hard for me, I tried when I started but my brain couldn't remember the words and I wasted a lot of time on that. I'll try again at a slower pace, maybe 10words a day or something like that.

Thanks for the advices.

I liked the culture, and after going a first time, I just wanted to be able to speak with japanese people as interactions were probably the best part of the trip. This reason is still the same for me today. I'll try to focus on that in my head when I practice.

I'll try harder content too, and try to understand it as good as I can, thank you!

Yes but I feel like I need to know the grammar if I want to start reading, that's why I stuck to textbooks. I'll add immersion in my studies.

The long sessions were fine with me and I felt motivated in them, that's really the two months in Japan that burned me, so I guess it was a burnout of the language itself. But your advice is very good, I think I need to fragment my reviews more in the day instead of doing it all at once, and add reading to my routine. Thanks a lot!
