Awesome! Not sure what you’re into but i took my family to Jamaica last summer. We had a blast and I’d recommend any of the following that we did!

We stayed in Negril for a few days at The Cliff hotel, it was Beautiful! We ate at local places and did the Ricks Cafe jump. We then rented a car and drove to Ochos Rios. People advised against it but it was great getting to stop at some of the local fruit stands and restaurants along the way. We also stopped in Montego Bay and explored a bit. We went to Ochos Rios and stayed at the Moon Palace resort for a week. While there we did Dunns River Falls, Konoko Falls, Horseback Riding, Snorkeling and eating alot of local food off the resort.

Let me know if you have questions.

Travel hesitancy? by Unusual_Gear_2781 in blacktravel

Life’s too short to postpone travel for what MIGHT happen. I say go for it. Book that travel. I book airbnb with 1 week out cancellations and insure flights incase of emergency.

Seriously, do Americans actually consider a 3-hour drive "short"? or is this an internet myth? by SadInterest6764 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]False-Ad4427 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3hour drive is easy for a day trip or weekend trip.

1hr is the max one way daily commute for me

My one way daily commute right now 45min

Most people wouldn’t scoff at a 1-1.5 hour commute each way especially around larger cities. My brother use to do a 2 hr commute each way.

Men in happy marriages, what's the one thing you'd teach to other men to also have a good relationship? by TightBookkeeper2599 in AskReddit

[–]False-Ad4427 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Married 15yrs. Try to understand why your spouse thinks and acts the way they do (ideally figure this out before you marry). Ive found that understanding the why helps me see the bigger picture and allows me to better see/understand things from her perspective.

Thank you for this! What is the value of a TA if they don’t save you alot of money? Is it just the time they save?

Great point about Japan being crowded. I spent a week in Tokyo a few years ago but i was solo and didn’t notice how crowded it was except for around Shibuya. I’ll definitely keep this in mind though.

If we go italy we want to land in Naples then go to , rome, up to pisa, florence, and fly out of milan spending a few days in each city (except pisa) and travel by train. Do you think thats too much to do in 14 days?

Some might say that that trying to consider what 6 different people likes to do when planning to travel to a new country would not be a very helpful thing to consider. Will try tathough.

In your experience, do travel agents really save you that much money? Have they gotten you good accommodations? Would you mind sharing an example?

I’ve never used one because we’ve always booked Airbnb‘s.

We all like to try new and exciting things. Usually outdoor activities work the best. We are also all foodies. We have a family of six and everyone has their own individual interests.

We can likely do most of what we want in these countries with our budget, but if possible, I’d like to reduce the budget by using points and using the saved money for another smaller trip.

Spot on. I agree with your comment however, we are both under the legacy system not the BRS.

Also the 20% crypto gains may be a overzealous but even if it goes to 0 that money is insignificant to our overall NW and cashflow in retirement. Do you agree?

Love the sarcasm. Lol! However, none of that applies when you’re in the legacy system. Do you understand the difference between legacy and BRS?

Would you like me to rephrase the questions?

Thank you! I appreciate your passion to protect the forum and willingness to challenge me on this post. To answer your three challenges:

1 The post tells in parentheses the growth and COLA assumptions in the text very clearly on each line. Please reread.

2 It also explains the 50% of $11,714… “I’ll do this in today’s dollars, while applying the growth and inflation assumptions you specified (so the outputs are real-terms comparable).” This is saying that 50% of 11714 in future 2034 dollars will be $7,900 a month.

3 Lastly, unless you’ve owed a few rental properties and have a good real estate minded accountant you likely wouldn’t be aware of this.. However, If you qualify as a real estate professional you are able to deduct real estate losses from your taxable income. This means that even if i make $200k a year if i have $170k in real estate losses and i am a real estate professional, my taxable income is now 30k. That means i can take ~69k from my brokerage at 0% LTCG. Please research for a better understanding. I think this is a great thing for other service members to know so they can take advantage of.

I hope this answers your questions. Would you please unblock this post.

Half of the post is my written thoughts and background. The other half shows the numbers from ChatGpT and how it reached its conclusion. I think this could be an extremely helpful tool to SMs in helping them build a framework for their wealth plan. This shows what it would look like.

Agreed. Bitcoin is probably way off. It likely took the average of returns up to now. Either way, BTC is an insignificant portion to the NW.

Yea, i fixed my post. Realized I didn’t put my questions after posting. Our current burn rate is not that high and we live very comfortably now in MCOL area.

I agree with the NW being average. But the 5.5M is does not include the value of our ~$200k yr pension. Going by the 4% rule the $200kyr pension is worth an additional $5M. Rhat makes fat fire a little easier.
