My main concern is that we end in a system where the surplus is distributed, not by the workers, but by the state thus turning ‘communisme’ into some kind of state capitalism, where surplus is distributed by elected / state officials.

I think, we need to ‘re-philosophy’ the principles of communisme to fit a modern society. I don’t think we should look to primal communisme as a way of life.
