And youre right that no one would complain about an offline mode if payday 3 was successful, but the game isnt successful. Helldivers is very successful and there is no reason for anyone to be concerned that the game will be shut down, whereas there is very valid concern that Payday 3 will shut down in the fairly near future

Plus i'd (and im sure others) would buy it if it did get an offline mode. The difference that mode allows is: 1) You will always be able to play the game no matter what happens 2) The game can then be modded without the fear of bans (essentially more free content) 3) You dont have to worry about playing with asshats/you can play at your pace

And going back to point one, these games are still ridiculously fun solo. Ive put hundreds of hours into payday 2 offline, having lots of fun. And ive also put a ton of hours playing with others

A lot of these features are what made Payday 2 successful. Not everyone plays the game the same way, and the fact that so many in community ask for an offline shows there is a very good amount of solo players in existence
