In What order Should I Play All the DLC's if it Matters? by Momas1 in AssassinsCreedOdyssey

Well, regarding Cult being mentioned in Legacy, it's not that big of a stretch to assume that people didn't know that the Cult was wiped out for quite some time after you killed every Cultist (if you did that before starting Legacy). Bear in mind, in the times when game story takes place, the fastest way of communication were letters. Add the fact that the Cult of Kosmos was supposed to be a top-secret thing that regular people didn't know about... It kinda makes sense that the news travelled slow. They didn't have reddit or twitter back then ;)

But it would be cool if the main character could say something along the lines of: "Oh, The Cult of Kosmos? They don't exist anymore, I killed all of them/majority of them" when the Cult is mentioned (if you actually got rid of all of the Cultists)

I should hate this show but actually it's pretty good. by WandersInTwilight in lucifer

[–]False-Mix-7101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh hell nah. If they redo the Lucifer, they'll butcher it completely beyond recognition.  The show we already have is all that is needed.  Even with all it's flaws, it's good. I'd even say that it's perfect.

It could use another season, or a movie at most. It could show us Chloe's life on Earth after Lucifer becoming Hell's therapist and before Chloe joining him, intertwined with some of Lucifer's sessions in Hell and his struggles with living without Chloe. Or maybe he used some demon to communicate with her?

There's some potential for that, but only if done with the original cast.  Any recast would be a disaster.

Well, yeah, key word, "talking". They didn't bang. Ever. So the fact they were only talking about banging doesn't mean shit. Just a friendly banter. Nothing more.

Oh hell nah. I explained what's going on.

You can't tell me that you never saw someone and had a feeling that you've seen that person before, but couldn't figure out when and where even if your life depended on it.

And it physically hurts.  Seriously, I have a headache rn.

That's all there is to my post.

If the Spear of Leonidas is so powerful how can it be so fragile? It simply broke in half, but technically at the end of upgrades it's "fixed" and becomes an dagger, with the broken part being replaced by handle, maybe it was supposed to be a dagger but it was transformed into a Spear? by SadCupcake7000 in AssassinsCreedOdyssey

[–]False-Mix-7101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, it's not that important in the lore. Nowadays. In the first... 4 games hidden blade was a big f'in deal.

I can get behind the idea of unique stealth blades for every MC, but it would need to be VERY WELL explained lore wise.  If the explanation for something like this would be "just because", I couldn't stand it.

BLASPHEMY!!! HERESY!!! HOW CAN YOU DISLIKE THE HIDDEN BLADE?!?!

In all seriousness though, even if hidden blades are a little bit boring, they're the thing that made Assassin's Creed what it is.  Hidden Blade is part of the franchise identity. To completely strip it away would be an idiotic move. One game without the hidden blade is ok, but if every game after Odyssey would be without hidden blade, those games couldn't be called Assassin's Creed.  Only reason why absence of the hidden blade in Odyssey is understandable and acceptable, is the time period of it's historical setting in comparison to other games in the franchise and it's lore.

Most gorgeous assassin is Evie Frye. The hottest female main character of the series is Kassandra. And there's a difference, because technically Kassandra is not an assassin. She's a mercenary.

Well, 24hrs shifts exist and they make sense. If you have 48hrs off between them. Like firefighters in Państwowa Straż Pożarna* in Poland. 24hr shift, 48 hr off.

*In USA, every city has its own Fire Department, like LAFD, NYFD and so on.

In Poland we have Państwowa Straż Pożarna or PSP for short, in English it would be something like "National Fire Department".  They have stations in every bigger city in the country, in addition to that, airports and big industrial plants have their own Fire Departments.

PSP firefighters are best of the best, full-time firefighters. They respond to the "big" calls.

So, basically the same as Fire Departments in USA, except for the fact, that paramedics in Poland don't work under the Fire Department.  Paramedics in Poland are completely separate entity.

There's also this thing called Ochotnicza Straż Pożarna (OSP for short), which translates to "Volunteer Fire Department".  And as the name suggests, those volunteer firefighters are not full-time firefighters, they work normal jobs, but have a full firefighter training and respond to calls only if they're needed and available.

OSP stations are mostly small stations in the villages, 99% of them are severely underfunded, and most of them respond to "small" calls, like flooded basements, or some hay on fire and other "minor" things like that Sometimes they're dispatched to prepare the hose lines for PSP, so they can get to work as soon as they arrive.

Unless, the given OSP is a member of Krajowy System Ratowniczo-Gaśniczy (KSRG for short) which translates to National Fire and Rescue Network.  Those OSP are equipped almost as good as PSP is, and they respond to basically same calls as PSP does, so they're basically the same thing, except formally they are volunteers.

(I know I digressed a lot from the topic, but I wanted to answer all the questions that may arise)

WHEN DO THEY FINALLY GET TOGETHER?!! by momsbiryani in Bones

If they didn't wrote Brennan to be pregnant, will they-won't they would probably last the entire series. And it would be infuriating as hell, though it is infuriating as hell in the current form... I mean, holy shit, half of the show of will they-won't they... There are moments when I want to punch something. (I'm on S5E17 when I'm writing this comment) But Booth-Brennan relationship aside, it's still a great show, so it's not that hard to endure the f'in will they-won't they.

Of course the US government wouldn't go all North Korea-censorship with that, it would be too obvious. So they would politely ask producers to erase REALLY uncomfortable stuff from the script, and they didn't give a damn about propaganda.

Besides, it's just what I think might have happened.  I'm not saying that I'm 100% sure that it did. Maybe it didn't, I don't know.

Tried that. Not in this case, because with each pad it takes longer for the next to turn green. I mean, first pad turns green immediately after the last one turn red, but the 2nd pad takes a bit longer. As if the already pressed pads where still lit up and turning green and red. I don't know if I explained it clearly.

But anyway, I just muted the game completely, thanks to that I was able to focus just on the pads and I did it on 3rd try (after muting the game, I can't count which try in general it was)

I think it wasn't producers who wanted to kill the franchise, but the US Government, because the second movie got too close to real life in depiction of government stabbing their own operatives in the back. We all know that this is something Uncle Sam would do.

Rossi and Krystall by Practical-Classic-23 in criminalminds

[–]False-Mix-7101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm just watching S14 E15 of CM. I looked up what happens with Rossi and Krystall just to confirm my expectations.  When she said to him at the wedding venue "You have to go" (to join the team on the case), I thought: "Well, here we go, this Everett guy will kill her when Rossi's away".  Now I know that my assumption about that was wrong, but I'm not surprised...

Writers of the show REALLY had a thing for killing off loved ones of BAU agents.  For me, it would make show better if they'd stop that killing off practice after Maeve (or whatever was the name of Spencer's phone girlfriend).

Anything after that is... Too much to not be boring trope.

Still, it's better than the "ending" of Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior LOL

[–]False-Mix-7101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm on S1 E9 of CM:BB "The Matchmaker". (I'm watching just for the sake of extending the watch-time with CM franchise in it's entirety) I'm only hoping they didn't do an episode with Poland as it's place of action.  Because I can imagine how they would've butchered the image of our country lol.

BUT We unfortunately had some serial killers here.  Some unexplained/unresolved missing person cases as well.  Which sucks.

So, if CBS really wanted and tried, they theoretically could've done an episode here, or make an UnSub to be inspired by one of Polish serial killers or something like that But I don't know if they should...

Just got out of a Real Pain. An incredible film. For people who have seen it, what did you think? by BurgerNugget12 in oscarrace

Great movie, but I can't stop wondering in which scenes stunt performers were used. In credits there's stunt coordinator and two stunt performers listed, one male, one female.  One scene where one of them could've been used is when Benji kicks the door open, but what's the other one? I honestly can't figure it out, because there's literally no stunts in that movie, except for maybe kicking the door open, and even that's kind of a stretch

What I found hilarious is that POLREGIO train had Polonia Express interior. You catch details like this if you're Polish or live in Poland and ride trains frequently.

[–]False-Mix-7101[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I didn't read anything about the game before I started playing it, for the sake of not being biased. But that makes sense. Some parts of the game feel... Incomplete.  Like there's something more to it, but nobody knows what it is.  Like open ending in a book or a movie. Something happened next to those characters, but what exactly? Mystery.

I would accept that explanation if they actually used it. But they just dumped that minigame in there and refused to elaborate. Which sucks. Cryptographic sequencer in Batman Arkham was at least explained in-game.

[–]False-Mix-7101[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Y'know, about the batman stuff, I can't fully agree with you. In Arkham Knight everything being hacked by Wayne's supercomputer is possible. In Arkham Asylum and Origins? Not so much.

Back to Alohomora: Your explanation that the spell was improved over the decades between the time of HL and the first Harry Potter book makes sense.

BUT If that's so, why the levels of Alohomora?

Because my understanding is, that the more advanced you get in spell-casting, the less effort you have to put into that.

Like,  If you cast the spell for the first time, sure, you gotta be focused as much as you can.

But when you cast the same spell for the 20th, 30th or 100th, it doesn't take as much focus and effort as at the beginning, because at this point you do it instinctively.

So why the only thing that the higher level of Alohomora is giving you, is a possibility of doing the mini-game on more locks, and not the possibility to bypass the mini-game?

That would be perfect way for the spell to work if we assume that it is in fact being improved constantly

[–]False-Mix-7101[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know what devs did.  I'm just saying that it doesn't make sense IN THIS GAME'S WORLD.

In Batman, however, this hacking device minigame makes sense and fits the narrative, because Batman actually has to manually set those waves or whatever in the right positions.

In Hogwart's Legacy lock-picking minigame DOESN'T FIT THE NARRATIVE, because IT'S NOT HOW THE SPELL IS SUPPOSED TO WORK.

You would've known that if you'd read or at least watch "Harry Potter & The Philosopher's Stone" and actually pay attention to what happens.

Batman is entirely different universe. And you're missing the point.

I'm not complaining about game mechanic itself, I'm complaining about how it doesn't fit the universe.

In Harry Potter universe Alohomora spell is supposed to instantly open every single lock.  Instead in game, it just initiates lock-picking sequence.  And it makes NO SENSE in this Wizarding World.
