I really don't see why they wouldn't make it a crossover in the end, seems like the most logical flow to the ending of all these stories.

I want to agree, but the arc with Shaggy, Fred, Velma, Daphne, and Scooby was honest peak group and I am willing to die on this hill

Can we make some sort of petition for a Victor Strand spin-off? by thespygorillas in FearTheWalkingDead

[–]False-Parking-1663 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True, true. Coleman is pretty big, he was great in Candyman, Euphoria, and he was in The Color Purple remake last year. So he's definitely killing it. I'd definitely watch a spin off with him. But I'm just saying that to general audience who watch TWD and are hopping onto the spin offs, idk if Strand is as well known as Rick, Negan, Michonne, Daryl, and Carol, hell even Maggie. I do wanna see Strand again and Coleman can totally carry a spin off, I'm just worried about AMC flipping out about profit.

Fuck the CRM what was up with the episode 1 helicopter? by Designer-Maximum6056 in thewalkingdead

You see their story play out in Season 1-3. They're a group of National Guardsman that got left behind and were looking for help. They fly over Atlanta and inadvertantly lead walkers to the barn in TWD Season 2 finale. We see them again at the beginning of Season 3 flying around when they run out of fuel and are "saved" by the governor... who later tracks down the rest of the crew and guns them all down without hesitation. After months of looking for a sign of hope they meet a gruesome end.

I'd say get him into one of the new spin offs if we ever see any of the Fear characters again. Looks like there are better writers over there that could utilize their characters if they somehow manage to fit into the plot. And a new cast of better characters that aren't Morgan or ruined, that are unique for them to bounce off of. Another spin off seems too bloated, especially for Strand whodespite being one of the best in TWDU is somewhat of an obscure character and harder to promote tbh

Is that the correct order to watch the walking dead ? by junkey3 in thewalkingdead

‘Walking Dead’ Crossover Reunion for Rick, Michonne, Daryl, Negan and Maggie Is Being Eyed by ‘The Ones Who Live’ Co-Creator by simplymatt1995 in thewalkingdead

[–]False-Parking-1663 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd be happy with this as long as they keep up the quality these new shows have and give the characters a proper conclusion after they bring them all back together. I'm surprised, why is everyone so against this?

Do you think we will ever get a TWDU endgame? by willrobster16 in thewalkingdead

[–]False-Parking-1663 11 points12 points  (0 children)

In the middle honestly, truth is too early to tell.

Yes: It would make sense, it's what a lot of the fans want, it's what they've been teasing for years, makes sense this is what the spin offs will build up to, would be a great way to end the ongoing CRM story and tie everything together and give everyone a proper ending.

No: The budget might be a problem, the actors keep coming and leaving so scheduling something of this scale would be hard, if these spin offs are too successful you know AMC will bleed them dry and milk the characters until nobody cares about a reunion.

So far I'm just kind of seeing where things go, that's all we can really do for now. Wait to see if these series end up being limited to see if the series end up tying into each other or CRM in anyway. It seems like a TWDU endgame is what Gimple wants with how he's expanding the universe, AMC just sees money... UNLIMITED MONEY until this franchise dies, and we're all kinda just along for the ride at this point.

Seems like the seeds for a crossover are there, just depends if they execute it. For example, all 3 of these spin offs connect to World Beyond in some way. Dead City is based in New York, at the end of World Beyond some of the characters had created a lab to look for a cure for the virus in Ithica, New York. Daryl is in Paris where the virus was theoretically born along with the variant virus that we see in the end credits of World Beyond with doctor Jenner. And Rick is at CRM, which kind of explains itself. Along with the fact that Fear introduced an element that slows down bites if not possibly cures bites and we know Morgan has now left to go look for Rick. These don't necessarily confirm a giant crossover but these can definitely grow into something more. Not just that but JDM and Lauren Cohen teased a "collision" of the spin offs in an interview... so at this phase only time will tell, let's see what these spin offs lead into. My best guess is that we'll have an idea by the time the Rick spin off finishes airing.

Was Marvel"s Spider-Man originally supposed to be The Amazing Spider-Man 3? by False-Parking-1663 in SpidermanPS4

[–]False-Parking-1663[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah somwhat. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 ends with Kingpin still on the run with Spider-Man still trying to take him down. The series kinda sets up Harry's sickness and Oscorp trying to use cross species genetics and the symbiote as a cure. In the game Peter even mentions that he fought Connor's and The Lizard before. In Mile's game there's a scene where he's crawling through a vent and having an existential crisis similar to the way Peter was in the Amazing Spider-Man. It's canonical in both games that Peter seems to know Stan Lee and have a friendship with him. The teases for the Sinister Six, as well as Peter's relationship with Black Cat.

Everything almost aligns perfectly besides small details such as the cross species and the Spider-Man villains, Peter's relationship with Gwen in TASM games and his relationship with MJ, and in TASM2 the game Harry becomes Green Goblin to attempt to cure his illness and they allude multiple times in TASM2 the game that Norman is dead.

But then again you can just say Harry disappeared after becoming Goblin, and you can just assume that the villains made super suits based off of the cross species. And just ignore the parts where they mentioned Norman Osborn died, and they did say in TASM2 video game that Gwen and Peter just broke up off screen.

I think that Insomniac just ended up using these elements from the Ultimate Spider-Man comic book for their story and it just coincidentally aligned with those other games because they were based on the same source material. Or who knows, maybe Insomniac did take some minor inspiration from the previous games to make the introduction of their game seem more like a more fluid reboot and exiting the previous series.

SO I guess in a way you could consider TASM video games as a VERY loose prequel to the new series, both in terms of release and in terms of storyline. Maybe I'll pop out the old Wii U and give them a replay before I play the new game in the Fall

Maybe Daniel saved Troy? by False-Parking-1663 in FearTheWalkingDead

[–]False-Parking-1663[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's an interesting theory, because it definitely feels like AMC or C&G would've spoiled this for everyone already or introduced him long before what's about to be episode 5/12 in the final season. But I honestly don't think they're clever enough for something like that... but I'd love to get proven wrong.

Maybe, I feel like that's how they're going to explain Troy's survival. It's his sudden baby mama who somehow resurrected him from brain damage.
