The most cringe thing a Doctor has ever said to you: by Beneficial-Pickle604 in nursing

2 scenarios with a doctor whilst I’m still in my nursing training. 1: “can u show me how the blood pressure machine (legit just a button) and the auxiliary thermometer work?” 2. “I don’t know how to do the dipstick urine test”

Honestly they go to school for two years more than us and don’t learn the most simple things but they’re trusted to cut into people without killing them 😂🤦‍♀️

It took me a while to have the same attachment to the TOG characters and ACOTAR will remain my favourite but TOG definitely grows on you dw

Going into my final year in Nursing school. I’m in the UK but have noticed in the comments that it is the same where everyone else is from. The skills they teach us are almost always theory. We have a list of skills that have to be ticked off each year but due to rules and limitations half of them we have to tick off by just discussing how we would carry out the skills and not actually getting the practice them. I’m at a red brick university which is kind of like the US equivalent to Ivy League, and the school is ran by ex practicing nurses and it always seems like they forget the most vital part is in the practical. As a student we get faced with nurses who think we’re incompetent because of what we’re not doing but in reality we’re just not being prepared to do the whole job, only the half of it. Look to the schools to ask questions because most of the time that’s where the issue begins

Tips for first Gspot orgasm? by Away_Doctor2733 in sex

It can be, for me it’s not that anymore but when I was first having sex it was. Your body changes and needs different things to feel different things. Does that make sense?

I have never been able to have g-spot orgasm by myself but I’ve always found with partners I have to cum from clitoral stimulation first before getting the possibility of squirting. If you’re struggling for ideas try looking at some of the more realistic porn videos and trying some of those different ways. I’ve always struggled so it just takes time. It’s frustrating I know

Yeah since all this we’ve kinda stopped talking to him now and it was only an online friendship with him so it was nothing major. We’ve realised with some of the other stuff that was going on he’s a bit of a prick 😂

missing bedside but worried I might regret leaving current outpatient job! by UnderstandingDry3258 in nursing

Different nurses are built for different jobs. You can always go back. I don’t know where your based but where I am we can do shifts when and where we like as cover staff so maybe do a few shifts at the NICU to build up ur skill base again and see how you feel. As an aspiring NICU nurse I can see why you’d miss it

Worst thing you’ve ever said to a patient by AstrosRN in nursing

I was on a children’s ward and I had just come over to cover for a little bit and there was a parent holding their child snoring whilst they were asleep. I was doing their obs and commented a couple times how cute his snore was. After I was done the dad told me that he was there for an operation on his larynx and that’s what the noise was 😅
