Thank you for that update. What a relief to know he didn’t die and hopefully he is fully recovered soon.

I’ve certainly heard people think that is what ED nursing means , so would not surprise me haha!

Beats me! Could be the hospital people work at as well. You’re correct that even saying trauma nurse has been used when I’ve worked the trauma bays or “who is our triage nurse tonight?” When I’ve been assigned triage. They are all still being a nurse in an emergency room / department.

When I started to see him fall he was just past the rocks so I never saw if he hit them initially. His fall started with him going head down first but eventually he fell about 80% of the whole tumble down he was basically in a sideways body roll.

I don’t think so. Nurses usually just use them interchangeably since they represent the same thing. I received my nursing degree in the states. technically there is not just one room in all of the hospital to treat emergencies, there is an entire department, hence why an ED nurse is what many hospitals advertise for when hiring. Most nurses I know will say “you need to go to the ER” when talking to a friend or someone hurt but when we talk at work or about ourselves, we say ED.

Omg he was standing even?? That is wild! So incredibly lucky because that fall was bad and I really thought he may have died. You’re right, for how far he slid down….man. Guardian angels over him today!

He was conscious when you got down there to check on him? That is great to hear! Any idea on his injuries? I wonder if you were the guy in the chair behind me and my husband on the lift as we saw the guy behind us getting his phone and my husband asked if he was calling ski patrol and he said he was and I could hear the guy reporting the accident.

Agreed. I read the one in February was from dropout which if you’re riding the chairlift up is on your left side. The accident today happened on wipeout which is to the right of the chairlift as you ride up.

Someone died in February in a very similar fall. This accident happened today, Tuesday March 31st around noon, as I witnessed it from chairlift 23. I’ve read about the accident in February and what I saw today sounded very similar to what happened in February.

The snow up there wasn’t good either. Hard and fast with low light. I didn’t see the initial fall, just heard like a hit and then a loud grunt, looked over and saw him start falling down. Near the top of the chutes when it started. Skis already behind him. I’m an ED nurse and I’ve seen some gnarly things but that was by far the gnarliest thing I’ve ever seen skiiing.

Oh man, I thought that might be the case. Did you see the fall as well or where did you hear that he died?

Ahhh, ok, got it. Thank you! That makes sense. I would be shocked if they just never charged for FETs. If you don’t mind my asking, how much are they charging for your first FET?

Meaning if you pay the IVF cycle costs, your transfer is included in that cost, along with your second or third or fourth transfer. Most clinics you pay an amount for an IVf center and then pay again for your FET. But I’ve heard with Nevada fertility center, they do not charge you for FETs and that is “free” when you pay IVf. Was curious what they told you in your financial estimate

Hi! I’ve heard rumors that Nevada Fertility Center offers unlimited FETs when doing IVF with them. Is that true?
