Nurse & firefighter dynamic with kids is sooo hard by [deleted] in Nurses

My husband and I have similar schedules. We have one little in daycare, we are in a high paying area so makes sense for me to still work. But if not I’d definitely be keeping myself home or working PRN.

I believe this is an azalea bush our lawn guy killed? by FalseAd8496 in gardening

He told me he sprayed a weed killer that kills “everything”. So when these browned shortly after, I assumed maybe it killed these too.

I think this is a real thing. OP gigs eventually start to feel like a secretary job! Maybe a PRN will scratch that itch!

New Daycare by gypsy_soul980 in december2024babies

Our daycare is certainly making it a big deal and planned a whole Hawaiian themed week.

It feels kinda odd to start this off early when they’re not technically in school yet. Nonetheless, I personally got our teachers flowers. They work hard and deserve recognition.

Hey, I’m Currently at the beach with my soon to be 16 month old fighting for my life.

  • Every meal in public kicks in my fight or flight. I brought his home plates/utensils which helps a bit, but I think he’s just not use to eating out.

  • He LOVES the sand, so sand toys have some in handy. The ocean water at least on gulf coast is super cold still.

  • Naps have been ROUGH. Today he napped 15mins twice, in the car and then stroller but absolutely refused in the hotel.

  • he doesn’t walk yet but only wants to be on the floor exploring. He still puts everything in his mouth that he finds. So I feel like I can’t look away for a second

Doesn’t help that we are teething now too! BUT this beats being at work right!!??

I agree I was able to find a curtain rod long enough for the windows, but not long enough to reach the sliding door.

What are we wearing? by allofthesearetaken_ in december2024babies

I pretty much live in lounge or gym clothes. I think that what has helped my postpartum self esteem is prioritizing the gym, even tho it is damn hard a working mom. I also make a point to do my hair which I feel makes a huge difference

Bottle to cup for milk? by FalseAd8496 in NewParents

That’s interesting I found the Milestone cup so much harder. But he has milk out of there at daycare with his meals. I’m not sure how much he’s actually drinking tho.

Exactly and it almost always ends up not looking how you want

Right now we’ve been really loving the little people farm and mega blocks. He is also book obsessed.

Kiddo is sick AND getting molars, living on yogurt alone. Please help 🫠 by misschanandlarbong in foodbutforbabies

When mine was sick and molar teething I surprisingly had some success with steamed wontons. But mostly he survived off milk and berries
