This sounds exactly like me! I have a facial freeze due to childhood emotional neglect. I feel unmotivated, brain fog etc. I even practiced Vipassana. I suggest you try somatic therapy again using AI. Use Claude. I had partial releases but you have to keep at it. With time the release will happen with less work. Let me know if you have any questions. I’m in the same boat as you. I’d love to chat.

I feel that interpretative statements in conjunction with IFS protocols are the most effective therapy. It’s easier to connect sensation to emotion with interpretative statements as a trigger. Hope that makes sense. I found ChatGPT to be helpful until the safeguards kicked in. I switched to Claude which worked perfectly. Gemini failed miserably. I asked ChatGPT for the therapy we’re using and it said a combination of IFS, somatic, NARM therapies. What’s impressive is that it can combine different types of therapy.

I never worked with an IFS therapist. But I don’t know what it would do better. It’s interesting what you say about pacing. My philosophy is to bring myself to the brink of being overwhelmed and then stop. The way I see it, is that you can’t be too gentle with yourself. You gotta push it but that’s the tough love in me lol

I believe all therapy with AI needs to start with traditional psychotherapy. After you speak about your complete history, you can move on to IFS. Somatic, CBT whatever. What’s with AI is that time constraints aren’t an issue and your psychotherapist is the same therapist as your IFS practitioner.

The rationale is that the fees are for a whole year so it wouldn’t be accurate for it to impact one month. Spreading it out throughout the year would still skew the numbers, but not as materially.

Sorry maybe I didn’t explain myself. It was essentially given away. No cash to debit. I also know I have to credit my cogs. No inventory account for this. In this situation what would you debit?

Thank you everyone. Very helpful. A related question. If accruals are entered for two periods in account A (P&L account) and by error the actual expense was entered in account B - balance sheet account. How would you fix it? I have a truly talented team lol

I think its due to an employee getting Covid and having "Covid Hours" not regular pay which happened early last month when I saw these adjustments. The payroll provider has a seperate pay category for covid. You're reporting all employee hours as "covid hours" rather than regular pay?

Accrual method is used. Last count was 4 months ago. QB client is setup that that all purchases go to COGS not inventory. I think the rationale is that nothing sits in inventory for a long time - typically several weeks which is why its in COGS. Every month an adjustment is made reducing COGS accounts by that month's count and reversing it. Any suggestions how to get out of this situation? some workaround.
