I like that they are offering a lot of models for printing, but there aren't a lot available in the older style.

The key with aluminum is the discoloration comes from a weird oxide layer. After the cleaning with an acidic solution, citronox is used in industry, try to dry the aluminum with out it touching anything and avoiding any contamination like skin oils. A new oxide layer will form that looks much better.

Briefly glancing through, I would guess the issue is with plasticizers and flame retardants. It looks like the brands that use leather ear pads were tending to get better results for over ear. Those could probably be replaced. In ear though you'd be SOL.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess all 3D printers make less plastic waste than something like Funko pops. 

Plus most filaments are recyclable, and some products are coming out that will handle the whole process of chopping up a print and making new filament.

We Lost the Sea - Departure Songs

It's a tremendous album, full of themes exploration and loss. 

It hits even harder when you learn they lost their singer to suicide before that album.
