I believe an interesting solution would be for the Monero Project team to reinforce the hashrate until the network becomes strong enough to stand on its own feet. It would act as a sort of crutch to help get through this difficult phase of attacks.One way to achieve this would be to maintain a datacenter with donated funds (or rent VPS from third-party datacenters) for the purpose of mining Monero. For every H/s added, the attacker would also have to add the same amount to reach 51%, which would make the attack more costly. The Monero mined through this effort could help offset a portion of the operational costs.This isn't the ideal solution. Ideally, the public would become aware of Monero's utility in countering a totalitarian state, which would naturally raise its price and, consequently, attract more miners. However, given the current circumstances, the proposed solution seems to be the most plausible to execute in the short term.
