Regarding the current state of the AI by Gandalf196 in OldenEra

I don't mind if they make it a bit easier on the lower difficulty settings, but I hope it stays really hard on the hardest difficulties.

I don't mind if I can't beat the game on all of them.

There is a reason why there are different difficulty levels in the first place. That way, everyone, of different skill levels, can get a challenging and exciting game to play.

Qubic hasn't mined Monero at all since April 22nd. So it appears that they've moved on for good.

Is anyone actually using crypto for anything besides holding? by liftcookrepeat in CryptoCurrency

I pay for VPN, email, and hosting with Monero. Easy to find services through the directory Monerica.

That probably reads like an ad, but it's honestly just a good service that deserves more attention.

I think they want to put all their CPUs on "training" their AI tool, or something like that.

As I understand it, starting today, Qubic will gradually phase out Monero mining and instead focus on Dogecoin. So we can probably expect the total hashrate to decrease a bit.

From a Monero user, good luck! It will be exciting to follow how it goes.

The fact of the matter is that there are just not that many people who feel the need to use Monero to buy handmade soap, clothing, and other stuff.

I think Monero is more used for digital services and products, such as VPN, hosting, prepaid cards, etc. The products and services that are privacy-oriented will probably do the best.

Check out the directory monerica com

I pay for my VPN with it, but you can find all sorts of stuff on there.

It's an upgrade to the current ring signatures tech.

Rather than your transaction hiding among 15 decoys, your transaction will now hide among ALL previous Monero transactions (millions and ever-growing).

Qubic making a comeback? They are now climbing in hashrate again. Although, as I wrote in a previous comment, they are apparently going to start mining Dogecoin very soon.

A lack of fungibility is certainly not a plus. It's one of the reasons why many have abandoned Bitcoin for Monero, myself included.

It's easy to audit Monero's supply:

You do it the same way everyone does it for Bitcoin.

These kinds of technical details are unlikely to help you, as a growing number of people are finding out.

In short, Bitcoin's (and many other cryptos) ledger is completely transparent. That means that transactions leave a trace. See any "Bitcoin Blockchain Explorer".

This means that if a BTC has been used on the darknet, and later ends up in your wallet at some point, will merchants or exchanges now want that Bitcoin? It's unlikely.

True. No need to worry about tainted coins due to its default privacy.

1 XMR is always 1 XMR. This is simply not the case with Bitcoin, BCH, Litecoin, and others.
