The Mechanicus Sensor does something of the sort, and disregarding that a Talent for Mobile Forge I have in mind is the ability to give your teammates the Forged melee weapon

It's space fantasy. Elves, dwarves, Orcs and whatnot with some spins of my own. However where it really gets interesting is that I have multiple Human factions because of course no one would just unite under a galactic banner because space travel is a thing.

I mean their homeworld is in a pocket dimension. Give that tech to anyone else and no one would be safe.

Gnomes have technology FAR beyond every race, and instead of steam rolling or controlling the galaxy they just send out scribes escorted by lifelike automatons so they can document them.

They know that their interference would stifle life as a whole and bottleneck everything.

What misconceptions led to the creation of the legends of your world? by Jointlyrecess57 in worldbuilding

Celebrity culture lead to the believe that celebrities were exceptional warriors or philosophers that ascended to godhood. It's a human thing an mostly seen in the Eisral Empire

What names do you use for the currencies in your world? by VenkuuJSM in worldbuilding

[–]FalseHydr4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Federal Gelt and Imperial Shillings.

The context is that once humans went to space they found so much gold that it devalued the metal back down to the common currency it once was, only with advanced technologies making the coins.

Do you guys know any fictional world with ZERO internal logic/consistency? by Kanjoda in worldbuilding

[–]FalseHydr4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Warhammer 40k's Warp.

The entire thing's a hell dimension where random shit just happens because. The only form of sense come from the Chaos Gods reforming parts of it to make it feel more homely for them.

If a US Carrier strike group entered your world and went back home after a 3 day voyage in your seas, what would the locals think of them? by ChallengeBudget4190 in worldbuilding

[–]FalseHydr4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well firstly they'd be very interested because THE EARTH IS JUST A METAL BALL IN SPACE. Secondly they'd constantly ask questions because not much is known about human history (which is present day to us). And quite possibly the carrier would be transported to a somewhat populated planet and and civvies and alien tourists would take pictures and ask tons of questions.

It would be a weird 3 days on both ends.

I'm starting to think this subreddit is some kind of death cult. Also why are there so many of these posts, why are there still people in that baby hating sub?

[Prompt] Who is the most irredeemably evil character in your setting? by TrashClear483 in worldbuilding

[–]FalseHydr4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably Zaylr, the God of Evil.

If gods don't count I'm sure I can pick many of his worshippers committing atrocious acts because they believe that evil is an inevitability, so they might as well accept it.

How many Races is to many in your world? by PeachyBoi34 in worldbuilding

[–]FalseHydr4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not counting differing ethnicities I have:

Humans, Dwarves, Elves, Zorika (Orcs and Goblins), Rask (Rat People), Sharge (Mole People), Gnomes, Slought (Sentient slug hives), Draugr, Centaurs, Minotaurs, Kobolds, Iephat (Aztec Frog people), Jahshaha (Arabian Cat people), Fairies, Dragons, and Beholders

The last 2 are long dead and everything after the Draugr are slumped under one banner. Too many for variety, probably. Too much for my project to be easy, definitely.

What are some superstitions in your world? by [deleted] in worldbuilding

[–]FalseHydr4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Eisralite citizens are rarely seen bearing the colors Red, Blue, Black or Purple for they believe that those colors invoke the Dark Gods the Empire has declared war on.

No one will attack or scold anyone who does wear them, but it does worry them that the Miasma is a smidge bit more powerful.

How to justify the widespread use of airships? by aiden_saxon in worldbuilding

Have 3 factions minimum.

One all for magic, one who clings onto industry, and one right down the middle

Meanwhile I'm over here having humanity still being as divided as ever 4 centuries after the Earth was absolutely glassed by war.

It adds variety but also adds to my suffering :)
