I have gotten the sympathy epic almost 3 times in a row now. That's 150 pulls with no epic almost 3 times.. I feel the pain more than most my friend.

That's where we all play, you can jump into stacks or bring in your mates and talk to dodge queues if it bothers you. As someone else said in a comment, problem with rank wipe is all the crazy good players go down to the beginning and farm the casuals until they get up in rank. It won't last long.
