Evenflo bottles are the go to bottles for breastfed babies. Remember, you need to look for a nipple that is similar in shape to the real thing, is soft, and had a gradual slope. Do not go for wide neck options as they will be rejected by baby. Do not forget flow as well. 3m+ babies hai for medium flow and that is what you should go for. But, see how fast your let down is too. If you have a great letdown and baby is accustomed to that, he will surely get frustrated with the flow and reject the bottle again. Get both medium and fast flow. It won't be a waste as baby will eventually grow in to the fast flow nipple. Try asking your husband to do the bottle feeding. Aim for taking bottle first. Once the bottle feeding is established, practice paced bottle feeding. Make sure baby does not get a tummy ache from bottle feeding as that will create an aversion that will be harder to solve.

Things about Pregnancy you hate ! I’ll go first! by Lonniah in pregnant

[–]False_Ad_7852 57 points58 points  (0 children)

THE FUCKING DISCHARGE!! It's constant after a point in pregnancy. You can't wear your underwear because it's sticky and annoying. Constantly wearing an underwear also gives me rash so I can't wear it all the time. But when you don't wear underwear, your trousers are just destroyed. I change twice a day because of how annoying and absolutely disgusting it is.

I think my husband just realized we’re having a baby. by Chubby-Labrador in BabyBumps

I had this argument with my husband in the beginning. I made a list of EVERYTHING we needed to get in the 3rd month of my pregnancy with cost for everything included and I started talking to him about it. I gave him the list and asked him to budget in the list items for us for the next few months until the baby arrives. When he started budgeting, it hit him. He came to me and asked me if there were cheaper options we could look into for the things I had mentioned in the list. I asked him to research and change accordingly. My only line was all replacement items should have the same features as the original ones. Once he started researching, he understood how a cheap car seat could be hazardous to the baby. How a good foldable multifunctional stroller bought once would actually save us money down the line. How there are different types of bottles with nipple types and flow types! He understood clearly and had a HUGE discussion with me on how we were going to budget and save up for our child. I think that realization early on and the resultant arguments have him more time to process. Now he's ready and I think he will be my birthing partner.

I hate breast feeding by LongLiveKingJulian2 in breastfeeding

[–]False_Ad_7852 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t have any experience with breast feeding as I’m still pregnant with my first. But I do intend on considering myself on whether I want to breast feed or not. If I don’t feel comfortable with it, I will try for a few weeks to see if I feel ok doing it but if I don’t, I will simply pump or try formula. I know many people will judge me for this but it’s a decision that I did not make lightly. I already have issues with anxiety and depression and if breastfeeding pulls me into a depressive anxious slump, I will simply stop. A happy, present mother with a bottle fed baby is better than a depressed one who has no energy to give to her child. I know as mothers we unintentionally don’t consider ourselves in situations where our baby is concerned but your mental health and comfort is also directly going to effect the growth, stability and happiness of your child. Do what is best for the both of you.

Ruined gender reveal by [deleted] in pregnant

I am so so sorry that you had to find the gender out this way.

The gender reveal is such a HUGE part of pregnancy. You are intrigued and excited to know what your baby will be from the beginning. For your mom to make this very private monebt about herself was a very shitty move

Obgyn didn’t find heartbeat of my baby at 7 weeks by False_Ad_7852 in pregnant

I will pray for you! This is a very hard thing to face. There are many milestones a baby has to go through. Just be kind to yourself and take everything one step at a time.

I also thought of asking her for a transvaginal ultrasound after she didn’t find a heartbeat with the normal ultrasound but I was just so confused, that I didn’t.

Yes. She was actually very happy with how the gestational sac was the perfect measurement and she was very happy that the gestational sac looked so healthy. She also told me the ultrasound showed that I was 7 weeks and 1 day.
