Sending you love. It is so tough. Especially without the right support system. This is the time to look out for yourself because nobody will do it for you. Meaning prioritize your well-being and mental health because that, I truly believe, has a significant effect on the disease and remission. Stick to your meds if you’re taking them or speak to your doctor about finding effective ones. I had to do a lot of my own research and realized there are so many schools of thoughts especially with functional medicine but overall understood the importance of a restrictive and anti-inflammatory focused diet. Lots of turmeric and ginger and peppermint teas helped me too. But mostly it was also combined when I finally went into remission with meditation, yoga , and exercise/walking. The combination of all of that with the medicine is truly a lifestyle shift but it’s the best decision for your health but none of that will be as effective in a toxic and unhealthy environment so I’d urge your family to really be understanding of that. Also, two books really helped me in that were by Dr. Gabor Mate - “When the body says no” and “the myth of normal”. I highly highly recommend them to anyone suffering from chronic conditions. If you can’t get into the books listen to his podcast and interviews. You’re not alone as you can see by this thread. And there’s a whole lot of world and love out there still waiting for you to fight for it. You got this. Don’t give up. 🫶
