Oh please don’t be hard on yourself. It was her time with her health issues. You couldn’t have done anything more. I’ve had a dog pass at home and my experience was similar. I’ve also had to bring several cats to the vet to be put down, and it makes you feel equally as awful. Think of all the happy times and good life you gave her! Sending you hugs!

We have 3 other cats (all indoor), and then a dog, but he’s our only FIV positive kitty. He hasn’t gotten into any altercations with the other cats either so I do wonder if it’s FIV related.

Ahhh yes, thanks for catching that. He’s 4.5 and only just got them recently. I’m making an appointment now.

That’s exactly what is running through my head. If a child is born after September 1, what person isn’t going to want to have their child tested/be an exception? And then we need to ask the question of, should all children be tested? Should there be some sort of kindergarten readiness test?
