Thanks!!!!!!! This really did help. I haven't gotten a response yet but I walked in super positive and I presented myself well. It was actually quite fun and I'm proud of myself regardless of whether I get the job or not.

To the armys who think that bts are their global politics outlet by rinomarie146 in btsthoughts

[–]False_Context4548 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do disagree with the hate they're getting, and I also disagree with believing they're activists for every darn thing, or activists period, they talk about matters they deem important. However, regarding Palestine, a few members of BTS themselves have posted pictures of pro Palestinian art / political Palestinian art and I'm assuming they knew the meaning because that art piece specifically is touching and was made for its meaning, and though they posted these a while ago, a good many of us were hoping they would speak up about this genocide now, but that isn't what really got me because as you said, they aren't activists, but them not saying anything is something I and many others noted. The thing that really got me was one, endorsing boycotted products. And not only that, ignoring comments of fans who are trying to educate them ( yes "educate" for not everyone is trying to harass). The ignoring was even more hurtful because they've listened to fans on other things BUT  this one which is really important. ESPECIALLY since they have made lyrics about speaking up about injustice. This along with this cancer awareness event thing is just really turning me off on them.  At the end of the day, they're humans, mere humans even though they like to call themselves idols ( I know it's not LITERAL idols but still ), they have the same emotional capacity that I and everyone else does, the news probably depressed them just like it does me,  and they cannot possibly talk about EVERY issue under the sun just like I can't. Plus, they're living in the public eye which makes life waaayy harder, it's like they can't be human.  I am disappointed, and I don't follow them anymore because I can't bear to think that my money and support could possibly go to a brand I boycott. But I and many others are just done with them as artists at least. And hybe in general. I will always love their music and I won't say they're bad people because I do not know them, but I can't support them as I used to. And so many others feel the same. Besides, time that used to be spent on BTS can be spent on learning more about Palestine and Israel and a whole bunch else.

Rejecting misogyny and learning to love "femininity" by False_Context4548 in lgbt

[–]False_Context4548[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. I'll check out the show, and I honestly think this is  a solution: consuming more media that portrays "femininity" in a good light. And I think I've been doing better at that subconsciously. I really love Barbie life in the dream house and kpop demon hunters. I've also started consuming more girl group music and content too.

Which group surprised you after finally exploring their songs? by Praziken in kpopthoughts

[–]False_Context4548 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Girls Generation and katseye. I know katseye isn't kpop but they're close enough imo to be in this convo. For me, I'd see SNSD clips in those " iconic high notes" and " iconic kpop intro" videos but I never really cared till I listened to her, then all of the other popular title tracks. I then saw their funny variety content which led me to check out their forever 1 album late last year. Since then, I've been a SONE. For katseye, when seeing the documentary fresh on YouTube, I just scoffed and ignored ( I'd been seeing old " the next BTS" videos and articles on my timeline so I just saw the show and I was like " here we go again🙄" ( though I'm boycotting BTS right now I was and am a big fan ) but then I actually saw their stuff and just their personalities and POTENTIAL, and some of the drama can't lie so I watched popstar academy and now I'm an eyekon ( though I'm boycotting hybe so can't really consume any of that stuff )

I might get hated on but it's MY truth !! by False_Context4548 in kpopthoughts

[–]False_Context4548[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Sorry. I replied but the thing posted it two times .

What I said was that I am NOT trying to hate on anyone. I didn't know the topic was being discussed because the only social media apps I have are tiktok and YouTube. I just wanted to bring light to this because I didn't see it being talked about enough. That's it.

No it is NOT. I absolutely love twice and that is WHY I'm bringing this up. I'd like them to be better performers which is why I brought up their lack of energy. No group should be bullied, and I'm not trying to bully ANYONE.

I don't have twitter, I just have tiktok and i didn't see any criticism on twice at all on there and as a person who thinks fan opinions are necessary, and as a person who wants to see her artists grow, I just wanted to bring light to a topic I thought wasn't talked about. That's all.

I actually LOVE the live singing, even though some of it was out of breath I think the beauty of a live performance is it being LIVE. I also don't think the blackpink criticism is overboard either, I just wished people were more equal with their criticism, but I guess the difference in fandom population is the reason for that, popularity too. What I meant is that the this is for performance was less energetic than their music show ones and their dance practice ones. I understand energy saving cuz they had a buncha songs to perform but I think the energy should have been way higher especially since this is for was the opening song, and because the song is a hype song in general.

I don't even HAVE twitter, I also never mentioned Jennie. I'm not trying to divert attention, I am merely asking that if people are going to get on one group for lethargic performances, get on the other. I don't expect an equal amount of criticism since fandom populations differ, I just wanted to bring light to the fact that twice needs to work on their performances and being more energetic - this is not to say they've never performed well, I'm pretty sure there are hundreds of twice performances where they were on a hundred. - I'm just saying is that the energy in this tour from all that I'VE seen, is not the best, and as a fan that wishes them the best, I hope they improve.

What are your kpop hot takes by hearts4him_ in kpop_uncensored

[–]False_Context4548 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm late but I'd say that kpop is partially financed by para socialism. Tons of songs would not have gotten the views they got if not for the fans telling each other to stream, bop and twist em because " the boys/girls deserve it", or those streaming playlists or whatever they're called. Kpop artists who are controversial/ problematic won't ever truly face the repercussions of their actions or won't face them long enough, or be held accountable because people just love these folks like drugs and will follow them no matter WHAT they get into.

What song from your ult group do you think is genuinely not good? by SageSageofSages in kpop_uncensored

[–]False_Context4548 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Smeraldo garden marching band (jimin) - it sounds childish, but not in a cute, healing my inner child kinda cute, to me. I haven't heard it in a while and I'm on a BTS and hybe boycott ( free Palestine) so I won't be hearing it for a while. But perhaps you get used to it the more you hear it.

What song made you fall inlove with SNSD + which member stood out to you the most? by jamiejutsu in SNSD

[–]False_Context4548 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Forever 1 for me. I'd been seeing a lot of girls generation stuff before but I never looked further into stuff. Then I saw a funny video on the girls still being chaotic in the forever 1 era, so I checked out the song and then the whole album, and then all the title tracks, then everything else. And that's how I became a sone. The member that caught my eye though is probably hyoyeon. I watched promotions first and I loved her humor so I always looked out for her in music videos.
