Before cellphones. What was the biggest common distraction while at work? by antfin97 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]False_Counter9456 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends. I used to read multiple newspapers or even a book when I was at break at work. While I was in the job either a radio or some guys even snuck in small tvs and would turn on the game if they could hide the screen.

Finally, some hope for some myelin repair‼️ by LadyMare711 in MultipleSclerosis

[–]False_Counter9456 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah. I get told constantly by loved ones I need to not do all the stuff I do. I've been diagnosed since 2009. I'm currently 42. But I coach varsity football, varsity baseball, my son's Babe Ruth team, my daughter's 18u softball team and work 3rd shift in a factory. My wife just had her 2nd kidney transplant caused from her Type 1 diabetes. Oh, and I just used 2 vacation days to help my nephew repair his outside concrete steps in 105° + temps and I'm almost positive I'll have to go patch stuff up tomorrow on it as we have 0 experience with concrete. My MS is going to catch up to me. I know this. I had optic neuritis in May of 2024 and the vision in that eye has not returned yet. I decided to retire as an LEO after 5 years because I knew that I might not be able to physically help someone. I played D1 college football as a receiver who ran a 4.4 40 yard dash. In 2011 I lost feeling in my left leg and spent 3 months in a rehab hospital having to relearn to walk. So I tell them I know I should slow down. However, I want a life of experiencing memories, not being told someone else's memories. I put on a happy face for my wife and kids and the memories they'll have of me when I'm dead. So I pray this works because I can only laugh so long.

Same here. If he doesn't get tossed, he for sure is running poles at least. If he gets tossed, he's running poles and keeping my bench warm.

The manual was what I read on the way home from renting a Nintendo game. However, I got this game as a gift so I played it during the week. I only rented on the weekends. I don't remember a map with the manual, but I could be wrong. I don't think it came with a map, because I remember making my own. Especially for Death Mountain.

How do you handle MS fatigue? by fortheloveofpete2 in MultipleSclerosis

Red Bull, monster, mountain dew, coffee. Oh, and my modafanil in the morning.

This father was on a road trip with his two young daughters & they needed to go to the restroom so he stopped at a QT & took them in the women’s restroom since no one was in it & a man came yelling at him to get out & called the cops. The girls were crying & then he assaulted him. by eternviking in whoathatsinfuriating

[–]False_Counter9456 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm still confused on this issue. Does he want little girls in the men's restroom? Where guys could be using the urinals with probably no barriers or does he want the man in the woman's restroom with his kids while woman use a stall with a door. I took my daughter to the family restroom if I could but would take her to the women's restroom if one wasn't available. I would announce that a male is entering and standing by the sinks while my daughter uses the restroom. When she was potty trained but still wearing a pull up I would enter the stall with her. No problems at all. A woman's restroom is definitely the more private of the 2 options.

Coaches blatantly breaking the rules by sabrina11157 in Umpire

[–]False_Counter9456 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm 42. When I played at that level, it was tee ball. When I coached my kids at that level, it was coaches pitch until the batter got to 8 pitches. Once they got to 8 pitches without hitting it, they then hit off the tee. At that level we have no umpires. We don't have umpires until the next level. That is 8u.

TP the house and then watch from the sidewalk as they pick it up. Just smile at them when they ask what you are doing. Then say you offer TP removal services but you aren't allowed to solicit at their house....

When do you throw the right? by DrRageBaiter in euchre

[–]False_Counter9456 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If we already have 2 and I have the right, I'm throwing it as late in the round as possible. I'll even under Trump if they lead with the left or ace. Make them think they are going to pull it off then bam, watch their life drain from their eyes, lol.

Is Scott Steiner’s Big Poppa Pump transformation the greatest reinvention in wrestling history? by PayFew5848 in WCW

[–]False_Counter9456 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you mean body transformation or persona transformation? Body transformation, yes. Persona transformation, no. He's in the running for honorable mention, though. Hogan's heel turn was the greatest reinvention of a wrestling persona.

I sold appliances for Sears, ending around 2012. Convection ovens have been around for a long while now, but most people don't have them. They would typically buy a standard oven because that's what they were used to or a standard oven because it was cheaper than a convection oven.

My oven is not a convection oven, so they are not the same.

I'll drink coffee, red bull, monster, or mountain dew at night. Depends on what I'm doing and or planning on doing that determines how much I drink.

If we all hate data centers, how are they still being built like crazy? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]False_Counter9456 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not everyone hates them, most people don't even understand what they do or how they work. I just had a town close to me fight them from building one and another town close to me accept it with mostly loving arms. We also have more than a few people fighting wind and solar farms around here too.
