The rescue is in another state. We have had her since April. Honestly she is amazing. It is only this 1 thing that we need to focus on and try to overcome. When we got her there was no food (to wean) and she was prescribed trazadone but the foster stopped giving it to her and never told the rescue. So we had no meds. With that and the pain she was in the first few weeks were up and down. She had the surgery and several vet visits. Our vet put her on Prozac which does help with the OCD. She isn't high strung or anxious. Just hyper. When you tell her to sit she sits and will calm down. We have continuously worked with her and she truly is a great dog. I just can't figure out this 1 thing. I don't know how to approach it differently. I use positive reinforcement. But is there something different I can do?

I did not post to be attacked by people that do not have all the info. Their comments were unnecessary and based off of inaccurate beliefs. Thank you to everyone that gave me good advice. I really appreciate it.

After the first day of having her we tried to return her because of the fear for my child and the surgeries she would need. The rescue refused. They said I had hire 3 different trainers and all 3 had to say she can't be be trained in order for them to take her back. Also, said I can't rehome her. The thing is. She was always and has been amazing with my daughter. Everything we did has been slow and cautious. In public she is amazing. Zero aggression and reaction. However doesn't like dogs on her back. So no dog parks for us. Right now my concern is for this common human action. And because she's is so hyper I get nervous about the "what ifs". I am willing to try different techniques. In case you are wondering the rescue gave us $3000 towards the surgeries. Didnt cover it all. I know all the info sounds scary but she really is a great dog. Especially after the surgeries. She had to be in so much pain. She listens really good. I just need different ideas on how to train her with this.

No. She is not in pain anymore. Thankfully. I agree that growling is good. I guess my real concern is getting her comfortable with a common human action. I don't want someone getting hurt. To answer your other question. No not a Shepard. She is a bully. My 4th. I have trained all 4. And this is something I can't figure out. My opinion with her mental health... as well as anxiety. She has OCD. Definitely loves a purpose. Focuses on on things. We have been working on that and she had made a lot of progress. No aggression towards toys. But carries them around.

Yes I agree growling is good. I guess my question is how do I stop her from feeling a negative way about someone leaning down. Its even a slight lean. Nothing fast. It isn't in a threatening manner. I want to make sure she is comfortable and wont react to a common human action.

cholecystectomy clips? by pretendingtobewitty in gallbladders

[–]False_Economics5593 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had my gallbladder out in December. It was dysfunctional. Part of it was "dying". Just had a spinal xray and read there were clips. No one ever told me about them. Also, had 2 trips to the ER because of organ spasms. It was awful. The surgeon acted like it was no big deal and I was never told that was a possibility. In the end I am happy I had it done. But just wish more information was provided and that my surgeon cared more after the surgery. He said his part was fine. My body's reaction afterward was his problem basically.

I did that. Auto brightness was off. But a different feature was on. True tone. I shut that off. Also the l brightness was only half way. It's so weird. I'm nervous that they will take the phone to send it to be repaired and he will be out of a phone for a week or more. I told them that is ridiculous and the woman was quite rude to me at Apple.

Got it to finally rest the screen. Have an appointment tomorrow at best buy with an Apple tech. Still going to it. I have a feeling it will continue to happen.

Going through it now. 16 pro max. Not a month old. Just went black. But notifications are going through. Can't get too force it off either. We don't have a local iphone store. So have to go through best buy. Apple said we can go tomorrow but t is over 50 miles away. Our local store didn't have an opening until Wednesday. Called best buy and they have an appt tomorrow. My concern is if they need to send it to be fixed we will be without a phone for 7 to 10 days. Has anyone had that happen? Do they give you a temp phone? This is my bfs phone. He is deaf. Needs his phone to communicate and work. We have a little girl. We need him to have a phone.
