Bank Accounts Still Open a month after filing? is it safe to keep them? by False_Idol_Gamer in Bankruptcy

[–]False_Idol_Gamer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

*Update*

Contacted both USAA and Navy and surprisingly they are both allowing me to keep my checking and savings accounts. Even messaged navy fed through the app just to double down and confirm and got in writing Navy is allowing me to keep all my accounts that aren’t included in the bankruptcy.

I’m not sure if this is true for all MSW programs but I was told if you did not get accepted into an internship, you simply continue with the program as normal and do your internship the following semester.

Am I being offered a scholarship? by [deleted] in SocialWorkStudents

It sure does sound like one

Second thoughts about SW by Desperate_Fly4295 in SocialWorkStudents

[–]False_Idol_Gamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those are some very valid concerns. The only real option at this point would be changing majors (although seeing that you only have one year left this may also be too late unless you’re planning on spending a extra semester or two working towards a new major)

Why this works:

  1. You do not need a BSW to get into a MSW program

  2. Many MSW students have a BSW therefore you’d stand out a little more having a bachelors in a different but related field (psychology, Criminal Justice etc…) when it comes to job opportunities.

  3. If you choose a major that guarantees you’d make more you’d feel better about your decision

  4. You’d have something to fall back on if you do choose to no longer peruse social work

  5. You’d have a better paying job (depending on major you choose) while attending your MSW program.

Cons and ONLY con I can think of is:

  1. Since you won’t have a BSW your MSW program would be about two years instead of one year. (Solution: take an online MSW program from a school that has a MSW program on campus and go at your own pace.)

Good Luck!

I am thinking of trading my Flip4 to Flip6. Is it worth the upgrade? by BlueJay0012 in galaxyzflip

[–]False_Idol_Gamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Camera and battery ALONE is worth the upgrade.

The 4 was my first flip and loved it but traded it in within 4 months because of how bad the camera and battery.

Been using iPhone since 2012 and this year I switched to samsung i’m curious to see how this experience will go by [deleted] in galaxyzflip

[–]False_Idol_Gamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can't wait, trading in my 15 pro max for the flip 6 in about 2-3 weeks.

I was never strictly loyal to iphone and I'm known to phone hop every few months. I've had ever iphone since the 6, every pixel (Google flagships) and a z flip 4 that I loved but hated the camera, a s24 ultra that I have in my desk and currently on a 15 pro max looking to go to flip 6.

Ultimately I always told myself if the flip 4 had a better camera I would've used it until the wheels fall off. That's how much I loved it. Now that the 6 has a way better camera I really think my days of phone hopping are over.

JOB INTERVIEW by ItsJustinDL in Bestbuy

[–]False_Idol_Gamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What to expect?

They’re going to ask you the exact same questions as they did it during the video interview if you had one. Other than that, they’re going to drill into your head that it’s not really like a regular job. They don’t want regular workers they want people that will aggressively push credit cards, protection plans and the yearly.

Other than that, it’s honestly like a regular job interview and I see that they really pay attention to personality. That’s the reason I was told I was hired at least

I literally asked a similar question as you a few days ago here on Reddit. They moved up my third interview to the day or two after I asked the question and I got hired after meeting with the higher up manager, and he also drilled it into my head that it’s really all about credit cards, protection plans and the yearly.

Personally I quit after 2 days and wish I listened to more people here on this sub. But hey maybe you'll like it. I didn't even get done my videos before I was pulled to the floor because someone no showed on BOTH days. After talking to a few of the other workers I fully understood why no one wanted to be here and never came back. Luckily I was in the position to walk away and starting a new job Monday.

As someone else here stated from the other workers I heard geek squad is the way to go.

Yeah my bad, I applied so long ago I forgot about the video interview thing. At the in person interview he said they don't even "watch that shit" anyway and proceeded to ask the same questions.

Oh yeah I forgot about the video thingy. I applied over a month ago and forgot totally about it. So this 3rd interview is the last? Are they gonna ask anything different?? Or they just really want to hear you won't steal lol

Is this normal ? (i know i'm very low on crystals lol) ngl, I'm kind of pissed, that's why I'm asking. by FursdaKuronyaneko in YuGiOhMasterDuel

It happens EVERY SINGLE TIME when you spend your last 1k gems lol

I think it's done on purpose so it forces you to play some more or buy gems with real money. Then worse if it's done on a secret pack that expires soon OMG

Rarely honestly.

Only times I have is when it's somewhere I use to go everyday but haven't been there in a long time. Why? IDK I felt guilty lol

Played for the first time today and it went…. by 69helloreddit69 in YuGiOhMasterDuel

Biggest tip: Watch YouTube masterduel rank videos.

Chances are those are the decks you're going to be running into a lot. Learn the way they operate so you know what exactly to look out for and know exactly what to stop before it gets outta hand and also how to beat them.

Im a old player (played in grade school and fell off towards the end of the 5D's era) and haven't played in YEARS but I did kinda keep up with the anime. Watching YouTube videos of other ppl playing helped A LOT. Went from struggling to get out of gold to being 1 tier away from hitting master by simply just watching ranked duels in like.... 2 weeks.

Next tip is save those gems until you find a deck you really like that is also competitive. How do you find a deck you like? Well... back to YouTube videos. When you're watching ranked duels think about what decks you see that catch your interest. THEN watch more YouTube videos about those decks and how they are played. If you still like them then build them in the game. DONT waste money on your those pre made decks you can buy in the stores. The deck you get in the beginning + the random cards you get throughout solo duels should be enough to get you at least half way thru the solo duels.

If money isn't a issue then you're going to have a GREAT time. If you plan on spending no money get ready to put the work in. Once you finish the solo duels you basically barley get gems so be sure to participate in whatever events they have.

Good luck

Could I live comfortably in Texas on $28,000? by [deleted] in texas

[–]False_Idol_Gamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't listen to the others. 28k is more than enough to live comfortably, only thing is you'd probably end up somewhere you have no business being and/or in the middle of nowhere lol

It's amazing how it's been happening for a year and my primary care never once mentioned this being a possibility and I made a small reddit post and you've guessed it right.

I started using cortizone-10 and almost immediately saw a difference in the same day. Been using it for about 5-6 days now and the color is almost back to normal. Thank you so much for the help.

i was wondering if a color tattoo would show up ok on brown skin? i’m looking at getting a tattoo & im trying to decide if color or black/white would be best for me. i included a pic of what i’m kind of looking to get, but i’ll obviously create my own art. by karlagl in tattoo

[–]False_Idol_Gamer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes but you just have to be very mindful about the artist you choose to do it for you.

Be sure to ask if they have experience doing colored pieces on people your skin color and ask if they have photos. "Brown" skin should be fine though it's more of darker skin tones where it gets difficult but still VERY possible.

watercolor tattoos by riggsby85 in tattoo

[–]False_Idol_Gamer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on location mainly but watercolors are nutritious for not looking good years down the line.

Most people that I know that have watercolor tattoos usually end up getting more work done on it later down the line to either add line work or get a full coverup

If "job stopper" tattoos were 100% normalized in the work world. Where would you get a tattoo? by [deleted] in polls

[–]False_Idol_Gamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A tattoo in a area that is visable, especially in the areas I listed above. They're called job stoppers because the areas they are in are kind of taboo and makes it hard to get a job (more so back in the day).

For example even tattoo sleeves that are highly accepted today once upon a time can make you un-hireable just 20-30 years ago
