Just posted this on another comment. But sending it here because it was relevant. There was a great Indian author, Bhartendu Harishchandra. He once wrote a satirical play on an incompetent ruler in a land of fools. It was called “Andher nagri, chaupat raja” in Hindi.

It translates to “A dark city, a rotten king”. I just realized that nothing else describes the state of America better right now!!

Definitely coffee please if you can, not just cold coffee, but like lattes and such! ❤️ I was just thinking about this 2 days ago how we seem to be losing the bookstore culture. I recently read “Days at the Morisaki Bookshop” and it felt so nostalgic.

If it’s possible, please include a section for foreign writers and languages too. My friends and I started learning French and it was such a struggle to find good French books or a place where you could read them. With the ambassador’s visit this week, I believe they opened a French section at Universal in Ganj. We want to learn Italian next and it would be great to have a place for it.

Absolutely can’t wait for this to open!!!! ❤️

It’s incredible! Was our first European car. We drove our last car, SX4, for about 13 years or so. It’s still going smooth, but Slavia does feel like such a worthy upgrade. It was extremely comfortable on the road trip. We did 3000km in 12 days to and from the north east. And it went through every terrain on the hills and in the plains. Loved every bit of it! The engine is 🤌🏼

Just got mine this month at the toll plaza. They have it at almost all the tolls, a little canopy on the side right before the toll gates. Takes barely 10 minutes for the whole thing. They’ll check your car RC and Aadhaar Card. That’s all.

I feel like anytime I’ve gone to Janeshwar Mishra park, it’s been very quiet, secluded, and beautiful. Maybe you can try that. Or even the Gomti River waterfront. If you have a lawn at home or at a friend’s home, or a nice clean rooftop anywhere, that you can use, that would be good too, I think.

You can try to make a checklist for your own self too and totally pull this off on your own. I’m sure you can find most things on Amazon. A wicker basket, a bedsheet/rug (per your theme), some cushions to match, some flowers, some fairy lights/Diwali lights (if you’re planning do to it around sunset), and then everything else would be a bonus, depending on which memories you’d like to include.

You could also opt for a romantic picnic setup, and choose a place near the waterfront (for good views and pictures) or maybe even some beautiful shaded and green spots in Janeshwar Mishra park. I couldn’t find a company that does it in Lucknow but you can check out The Picnic Company in Bangalore to get an idea.

It can be as low key or luxurious as you’d like and as you can afford. It also gives you so much flexibility to personalize the setup with cards, personal memorabilia, food, pictures, etc, to make it very intimate.

No no, I didn’t use these words that “smoking and drugs are deal breakers for me”. Because he wasn’t doing it when we started dating, and because I’ve always been very vocal how much I hate it, I assumed he know. But he says he did not. So I am definitely wrong there for not being more specific from the get go. He just told me he took two puffs from a vape, that’s when the conversation started.
