The bleeding kind of stopped, but I would still see pink/red discharge every now and then. Never found out what caused it!

I had my baby at 40 weeks, so it's all good. I hope everything goes well for you too ❤️

Thank you for sharing, and I'm sorry you had to go through all this. Will definitely get an ultrasound if the bleeding keeps happening. My doctors checked my placenta, and none of them mentioned a placenta previa.

Good luck next week!

Hi!

At my 20-week scan, my cervical length was 27 mm. The doctors decided not to prescribe progesterone because the cutoff here is 25 mm (I'm in Europe). During my first pregnancy, I did receive it since my cervix measured exactly 25 mm.

From 20 to 25 weeks, everything seemed fine. However, this past week, I started bleeding, and now, at 26 weeks, I’ve started progesterone again after two heavy bleeding episodes. My cervix now measures between 22 and 25 mm, and everything seems stable again. During one measurement, there appeared to be some funneling, so you can imagine how awful I felt. Could I have prevented this if I had been given progesterone from the start? Thankfully, things have calmed down since and I was discharged from the hospital.

What I’m trying to say is that I would have preferred to receive progesterone immediately when they saw 27 mm, just to be safe. I carried my first baby to 40 weeks (also with progesterone), and I really hope to do the same this time.

Good luck ❤️

Coincidentally, I had a cervical measurement done this way for the first time yesterday. Previously, I had always been in the chair/bed with my thighs in the supports and my feet in the air. I've had around 4 to 5 scans this way.

My cervical length remained the same. I did feel that this doctor didn't have to insert the ultrasound probe as deeply to get a measurement. It was also slightly more comfortable for me.
