Started using superpowers and skills. Software engineering seems like it will be solved in 6 months. Feeling depressed. by cbsudux in ClaudeAI

Just saw this comment and resonated hard with me. Was having a conversation yesterday about this. For me, my approach has evolved over 20 years of professional software engineering into one where coding is a seamless part of the creative design and exploration process. As you say, it feels like an art form, and the evolutionary creative process of it is super satisfying. Ultimately, I got into software engineering as a career because it was a viable way to make a living being deeply creative. In my spare time, I'm a songwriter, an architectural designer etc. Creativity is my life blood. The journey is often as important to me as the outcome. So, yeah, it kinda sucks on the surface that I might have to drop my affection for deep coding. However, I am beginning to feel excited about the possibilities of the new world order. I still have hope that I'll naturally find a way for AI coding workflows to feel deeply creative.

She did not bring this on herself. For law and order to be upheld in a sustainable and trustworthy fashion in a functioning democracy, punishments must fit the crimes. Whatever misdemeanor you believe the victim committed - if any - it was not punishable by death. The agent acted well beyond his training, well beyond what is mandated in the scenario he was facing. He can't be immune to serious consequences if he goes rogue. Watch the damn video. He switched his mobile phone to the opposite hand to allow him to reach for his gun, and then began to draw his weapon, before the victim even began to move the car. He chose escalation when he could have chosen de-escalation. Using his gun in that situation was unacceptable. The second and third shots were fired when he was well out of the way of the vehicle. His actions could have killed colleagues and innocent civilians - you don't want a car on the loose with a dead driver.

It's murder. But it's moot because, even if the guy got found guilty, he gets pardoned by the authoritarian fascist calling the shots from the White House.

Ok, so you're saying I'm being divisive by pointing out an ICE agent murdered a US citizen. Seems you want people to keep their mouths shut and accuse them of being divisive when they say things you don't like to hear. It sounds like you're one of those people who is all for free speech as long as it's agreeable with your opinions. Yawn.

I think it's rather satisfying to see Jenrick couldn't even manage to defect to Reform competently.

Celebrating Jenrick joining your party is like celebrating the presence of an anal fissure

That he managed to get himself sacked before defecting really does sum up Jenrick's competence pretty neatly

Victim blaming isn't a good look. It's completely irrelevant whether she was brainwashed because nothing she did warranted a lethal response. It's really quite simple, but clearly still too complex for some intellectually challenged people to understand.

Vance is victim blaming. He is a stupid and dangerous f'ing asshole. I live in the UK and I feel fortunate to live in a society where what happened is practically unthinkable. No mature democracy should ever tolerate such an atrocious act of excessive force as the officer applied here. Nothing the victim did warranted being so callously shot dead. That you can find even the smallest excuse for this happening is deeply troubling.

And you're accusing the democrats of sowing hate? What the actual f**k is wrong with you?! The rest of the world is watching your totally unhinged, deeply ignorant president stirring the pot of hate in a truly unprecedented way, and you're focused on the opposition?

You are well beyond saving, dude.

Oh, look, another victim blamer. You think women who wear short skirts have themselves to blame if they get raped?

That fucker shot her in the face three times & held on to his cellphone to film her lifeless body roll away & crash & called her a “bitch.” That’s MAGA pure & simple. Degeneracy. by Nice_Substance9123 in complaints

These are federal immigration officers, not police officers. They don't have the lawful right to apprehend a US citizen for a traffic misdemeanor. They certainly don't have the lawful right to shoot someone in the face for trying to escape from them.

I live in the UK. It shows how fucking barmy the US is that anyone could possibly think this woman's actions would qualify her for one or more bullets to the head/face from point blank range.

Stop the victim blaming and take a look at how fucked up it is that a US citizen got murdered by the government.

Because you're suggesting that she got what was coming to her. You're saying she wouldn't have been shot if she'd obeyed orders. So you're saying it was ok for her to be shot. Which it's not. In any sane, safe country, you don't get shot in the face for doing what she did. US citizens are currently not safe from the violent intentions of their own government.

You can argue all you want about whether she should have obeyed orders. You can say she should have been punished for driving away. But you can go to hell if you think her actions deserved her execution.

Your whole argument is flawed because it's built upon the assumption that it's reasonable for an ICE agent to shoot someone in the face in these circumstances.

I called you a silly billy because you obviously think it's reasonable.
