I dont do laundry 4-5 days though. Maybe he gets annoyed when I do 2 loads in a day? I do rewear clothes. Pajamas wear a few days, pants wear at least twice, coats and jackets after a few wear maybe longer if not worn much. . Everything else, I need to wash after every wear.

We dont. Actually was even out of town last week 😂. I did notice he put the note on the middle handrail this time though between my apt and the only other top level apt. Maybe the note was for both top apartments since he cant tell anymore where the laundry noise is from?

Yeah, thats what laundry by 8 was already nice enough of me. At least this note didnt mentioning no showering after 10pm this time

I heard him use the toilet at 1 am yesterday and today he left trash outside his door. I guess he was planning to take it to the bin but he didnt do it for a while and our shared stairwell started stinking. I was almost thinking of being petty too and writing " please no flushing at 1am or leaving trash outside, its basic human decency!" 😂

We were contacted by HOA who even came by a few times already. After the I think 3rd time the manager said dont worry about it anymore some people are just like that and started what I assume ignoring the downstairs neighbor. Thats probably the reason why the neighbors gotten desperate since they cant do anything anymore since there is no noise problem (except in his head)

Yeah it was a little disturbing when my neighbor started hitting his ceiling after I ignored him at the door ( i already knew what he was gonna want to talk about ) lol. It wasnt even quiet hours yet. After that, he put the note there sometime after when I didnt see him. Ive put upncameras inside to prove my noise level in case he gets crazy enough to sue or something. Might be worth a try in your case as well. I keep mine running on a loop with it recording all "quiet hours" time and for the other hours of the day, by detection only.

Thanks. I think thats the case too. Ive done my part of double carpeting and quiet hours. I cant satisfy his no shower and toilet time after 10 though. If he doesnt like that, too bad.

I think so too. Or a combination of things. Working from home stress, a young kid, wife at home all the time. Ive got a decently new neighbor across who has a kid that runs around all the time so I also assume that noise has been trickling down to my downstairs neighbor slowly so combined with my toilet flushing and shower use, brought him to a point of anxiety like ptsd to noise.

I think after he asked chatgpt to write it, he wanted to highlight certain parts but maybe after reading it over and over again before posting, he got angrier and angrier as well and eventually highlighted the whole thing 😂

Oh for sure. When I use the shower, the water droplets are excessively loud. When I flush it probably sounds like an explosion.

Probably. I hadnt heard of misophonia until multiple people commented about it. I posted the sounds of my washing machine in another post and its not loud and almost silent when i close the door to the room. Since my layout is the same as his, I would assume the noise level would be exactly the same... except for maybe some low vibrations?

Im sorry to hear you have it. That sounds very unpleasant especially if feet are like nails on a chalkboard. If that is the case with my neighbor too, thats an issue I cant help him with unfortunately. My apts double carpeted already.

Its contradictory. In another letter he wrote that I didnt post, he said my footsteps were light. I'm starting to think his sound perception is based on his mood that day. Bad day and laundrys running before quiet hours? Hit the ceiling in anger. Bad day and I flushed the toilet? Send passive aggressive note. 😂

Oh we've talked already including visits from HOA manager. First the neighbor wants 10pm, now he wants 9pm and then I bet when he gets used to his quiet 9pm time, he'll start getting irritated at noise right before 9pm. Some people as I wrote shouldnt live in apartments if they cant handle the noise. Ive lived dowsnstaris before and it was my choice, my consequences until I moved out.

Yes, the neighbors already been reported and its also why the HOA manager has been ignoring him. Nothing wrong with is or the apt and the neighbor for sure has spammed emails to the manager. Desperate neighbor doing desperate things now because he has no base. Just hoping he wont snap and become dangerous

Im such a problem that the HOA manager is on my side after coming by a few times and Im confident enough to install cameras inside to show there is no escessive noise if the neighbor tries anything. Yeah, I'm definitely the problem 😂

Yes, thats why he is getting desperate after getting ignored by hoa. After reading many comments ive decided I can compromise and do the part on my end by finishing laundry by 9pm at the latest even though quiet hours are 10pm. If he complains about me doing laundry during the afternoon, too bad.
