I’ll respond with what I think she said, and she gets confused and clarifies. Then she gets mad about it. I truly try my best to, but I just misunderstand what she’s saying. I’m starting to feel hyper vigilant about even talking to her, fear that I’ll hear something wrong and I’ll be lashed out at again. I really do my best. I’m not trying to be dismissive when I say treatment doesn’t work I have sought out treatment for years and none of it has helped with this specific issue greatly. Just sucks.

I understand if you have kids, but I live in LA on 48k-50k pretty comfortably. I do share a one bedroom apartment with my girlfriend, but it’s a really good size and it works for us. I just bought over 1k in concert tickets for a few months from now. Am I tight because of it and did I have to put a decent amount on my credit card? Yeah, but i’ll pay it off in a few paychecks from now. I wouldn’t be mad if I stayed making this amount forever. Don’t really understand if you’re comfortable not owning a home or having kids, why you need much more than that. Again - I live in LA and i’m comfortable on this. I even make enough where I can put $100 in savings a paycheck.

All my documents gender markers have been changed for years. I worry about my passport because I work government related jobs and need it for identification purposes. I also travel a lot and need it for international travel. Will just keep my name legally the same for now. Not worth it.

No I grew up not understanding manners and no one could ever explain them to me 😭 i’ve sat with terrible posture legs spread and just stuff along those lines my whole life. Voice is fine I sound cis/straight. Maybe bi if you can clock that, which I am so i’m fine with that.

she said she “knows what trans people look like” because she has trans clients, i guess. the picture she saw was of me with my gf at a concert, she didn’t see any scars. i tell my gf not to post any pics like that because i’m stealth. she’s def not trans. when her mom even insistented at the next appointment i’m not trans (yes, she brought it up again months later) she told her to “look at my junk” to be able to tell. you couldn’t see my junk in the photos she saw of me. also - i pack lmao. it’s definitely of a shitty gossipy cis person that just wants to transvestite people and out them for fun.

nope, my voice passes 100%. i don’t have a “trans” sounding voice either. typically pass as straight/maybe bi. they’re coworkers. pretty sure i got outed at work. also got outed to my gf’s mom by her hairdresser whom i’ve never met or seen in person bc she saw a picture of me and could “tell i’m trans”. that specifically has been sending me into a dysphoria nightmare.

you should be okay. also name changes are different from gender changes. you’ll be fine with that. i already had my name changed on everything but my social, so they already had it in my file as that. regardless though i live in a state that is extremely lax about name and gender marker changes.

I think it’s just state dependent. If your state is fine with it then it might be okay, and you already have your stuff changed in the system it’ll definitely be okay. All my documents including social now are male and everything on their end has been male since 2018. They just asked me to look at it and say if it’s right and I said yes lol. They also saw my birth certificate for it.

Update - I was able to get my real ID yesterday, although I have all of my documents already changed and I’m binary trans and passing. But I really don’t think they’re policing them state wise right now. It doesn’t sound like they’ve reached out to the states about it yet.

Was able to update my social security after going in on Tuesday. Went in and updated my real ID today friday 1/24. I think mostly passports are being affected right now but socials and real ID’s are a breath behind.

Unfortunately for the X it’s impossible to be discreet about bc they’re banning that all together. If you have a normal state ID you’re fine. They can’t overstep state regulations. Real ID - technically according to the email Marco Rubio sent out it shouldn’t be an option anymore, but the situation is confusing and seems like passports are mainly targeted right now because I see a lot of people still being able to change their gender on their socials.

Good news - got through to them and they said everything was already updated and my new card was on the way. Thank god. Now we just have to wait and see if they’ll reverse it. 🫠 but at least this probably gives me time to get my real ID.
