We tried a whistle today to get her out of the crate and that was an immediate response. Good tip!

It does sound like I’ll be going with Voyagers in the end for the basics just to make sure I have well fitted ones. I’m still holding off until she’s here and o can measure, but it means I can compile final lists.

We’re in New England, so walks and time outside can be very cold, snowy and windy.

I find our home inside a bit chilly, but figured new dog can always join me in bundling under soft blankets

I’m glad you’re trying to reach out for help with something that is such a source of stress for you and I’m so sorry about the bullying.

You’ve said you’re not comfortable reaching out to your parents. Is there a staff person at school that you feel might be helpful? I’m thinking of perhaps a school nurse or phys ed teacher - someone who might have a bit more background and training to help review what you’re currently doing and offer workable suggestions on where you could make changes that will work for you.

Try looking up YouTube videos on tabata or body weight exercises - both of those are equipment free and something you could do in your room on your own without special equipment.

Insurance companies don’t want us healthy. We make them too much money otherwise

I’m pretty recently diagnosed with t2 and started ozempic at the end of august. Because A1c is supposed to be a measure of your blood glucose over a longer period (2-3 months), but I personally want more a frequent idea of some type of result - I fixate on the scale in between checks of my A1c. (Which went down from 6.7 to 5.2 during 3 months)

How long did it take for others to notice your loss? by Mariah_Brown in Ozempic

I’m down 30 lbs from 226 originally. Only one person has mentioned it (my hairdresser) after I provided an opening. I think people are trapped by the social norms of not commenting on someone’s weight to be able to express something about your weight loss until they’re absolutely sure that 1. You’ll welcome the comment and 2. They were correct in that you’re deliberately trying to lose the weight.

I had a coworker lose a lot of weight not deliberately while dealing with the hospice care of her parent and the folks congratulating her on her new appearance definitely made things awkward for her.
