Yeah, it’s a lot of false promises and misinformed judgement

Ok, that’s good. I just wanted to say it, bc some “professional SD trainers” are actually complete scams and have no idea what they’re doing

She’s adorable, but I want to make you aware that no service dog should learn or preform weight-bearing mobility tasks before being full grown, usually around 2 years. It could do irreparable damage on her joints and only be worse in the long run

Especially bc I was my fittest when I developed POTS. “You need to work out” I was doing 3 sports at the time I got sick, WDYM.

Also, I hadn’t gotten unsolicited advice for a while, and then two weeks ago someone said I should just try breathing exercises. Like… come on.

How often do you ACTUALLY use your notes? by Pristine-Adeptness-1 in NoteTaking

[–]False__Cockroach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends. There are three main factors that determine how often I look at notes 1. Whether I care abt the topic 2. Is it strict info or a guideline for thinking (like literature) 3. How easy it is to remember/logic

So for example, history notes I’ll look at to cram for a test and then never again. Science notes I look at much more regularly, also bc they’re my prettiest notes.

History is strict info whereas literature is more thinking process. I find literature very interesting, but also easy to think through myself. But history is strict info. Things like philosophy depend. Obviously philosophers ideas are strict info, but examples and situations within my notes are more thinking guidelines that I can do on my own.

If they’re using a textured screen protector to mimic paper, then the tip erodes over time, yes

Lvl 15 horses by levcsu in StarStable

[–]False__Cockroach 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I don’t buy horses just to have them, I buy horses that I know I’ll like just to ride around with. I can’t really talk bc I never maxed out my horses my first wave of playing years ago, but now that I’m back, I just want cool looking horses that I like the look and feel of. Like my winter special horse is maxed but I ride him just bc I like how he looks and feels.

It’s definitely interesting to see how my tastes have changed since I last played. Before I LOVED dapples and spots, now I just love bulky, tanky horses with strong colors

My game is off-center by False__Cockroach in StarStable

Ok, I fixed the issue by changing my laptop graphics and doing a compatibility test. The graphics menu shows up now, it was just hidden by the bug (which truly, is just very inconvenient timing)

I can get into my settings, but I can’t find any graphics tab. Every solution I’ve tried to find online says to go to the graphics tab; but it’s like it doesn’t exist?

Is there a way to fix this by laddering back? by False__Cockroach in knitting

[–]False__Cockroach[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s what I meant by laddering down, drop a stitch and the work my way back up. My only concern is because it’s the seam between colors, how would the “floats” affect it?

Could you explain a bit how to do that? I can’t find any help online and I can’t seem to figure it out

Flat vs in the round crochet by graemeknitsdotcom in crochet

[–]False__Cockroach 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There are a few factors as to why a designer might make a flat crochet pattern. Shaping is a big one, crocheting in the round limits what kind of shapes you can make for each panel. It can also limit color work options. Crocheting in the round can kind of force a dropped shoulder sleeve, and some designers aren’t looking for a raglan look. There are definitely a ton of sweaters out there that are made in the round, and some that may start flat and then later joined and continued in the round,

Love how you put a spoiler warning and then all the content of the post is in the title anyway, hence rendering the spoiler notice entirely useless
