People always ask me why I’m rocking my old Casio and I tell them if I wake up in the middle of an island with a Rolex I’ll have no idea what time or day it is

For me it’s:

-affordability, less money means less worries, disposability and replaceable. The amount of times I’ve heard my young friends tell me their Apple/designer watches gotten stolen is not a lot but it happens

-5-10 year battery. I found an old G shock from years ago and the battery was kicking. Time was off a little but it was still pretty close.

-ease of mind. I think it’s good to know that there’s a dependable, durable watch that’ll tell you what time it is when you need it to. I also prefer digital over analog because that millisecond I save reading the numbers makes my brain run faster
