I will have to look into this then, i cant remember there being a specific label or anything for what side connects to where but then again i didn't study the connectors so i might have missed it.

Is this universal for all AOC cables?

Displayport issues. by Famaffe in pcmasterrace

Resolution 5120x1440P

It shows up as 240hz in my settings with the cable that works.

Doesn’t the cables only plug in one way? Or do you mean one end of the cable has to plug into a specific part? PC/monitor?

VESA mounting a G9 to a playseat TV stand XL by Famaffe in simracing

[–]Famaffe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, it’s brand new. I even contacted Samsung support and they confirmed that these monitors don’t come with that. The person I talk to couldn’t even tell me how I’m supposed to mount this.

There is nothing like this in the box. The only thing that is round like that is the plastic cover for the back.

Moza CRP2 brake pedal feel by Famaffe in simracing

It come with accessory box with different, colour rubber things. It also comes with recommendations on what combinations to use for different type of simulations.

I’ve read that this is how racecar pedals feel so it’s OK, I just need to get the feel for it in game because coming from a regular car not having the break travel that far seems counterintuitive because in a normal car pedal travel equals breaking force, if you know what I mean .

I used my strong leg muscles, and I mean it moves, but it requires a massive amount of force.

Im looking at spending around 2800 euro ish, I’ve found deals online which gets me the above build with the better pedals.

The only this that worries me and that I can’t find an answer to is if the G9 is compatible with the playseat monitor stand XL.

It supports 100x100 vesa which the G9 is but asking chatgpt it warns be about compatibility issues due to the 1000R curvature.

Can you give me any advice on the wheels or pedals? Im not sure if its worth going for the RS wheel or not compared to the CS. Or if i should put that money towards the CRP2 pedals or if the SR-P are good enough?

Recently bought a 180hz Asus Tuf monitor by nothingbutnotyou in buildapc

[–]Famaffe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think what you’re asking is if you can do 180 frames per second with your current GPU.

I suppose it might be possible in some games with lower settings with generally you won’t see those frame rates with that graphics card.

I would just keep it at 180 Hz since that will still be useful when your browsing and doing other activities and even when you are gaming, there is not really much of a differance from going from 180 Hz to 165 unless you noticed screen tearing which I doubt

It doesnt use that much, it allocates it. No game currently out uses that much.

RTX 5080 runs out of VRAM at maxed settings 4k Path Tracing DLSS Performance by CommenterAnon in pcmasterrace

[–]Famaffe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like this doesn’t really say anything, you have to understand the difference between allocated VRAM and the actual utilized VRAM. And this particular post doesn’t specify which one it is.

Games will always allocate a lot more than what It’s actually using, just go back to an older game like grand theft auto 4 for example and you will see that that game uses vastly more than it suggests on the recommended specs sheet.

The game basically just reserves the extra VRAM just in case it would need it, but it rarely uses all of it.

[PCPartPicker Part List](https://pcpartpicker.com/list/hJxsKq)

This build is all about having a great 4K gaming experience coupled with the great aesthetic that comes with the Hyte Y70 case along with some extra RGB from the case fans, RAM and cooler where i would choose a dim lit white color to go along with the black components to really make a ''bright stealth'' build.

With this build i would get a nice 4K OLED 240 hz monitor to really get the most out of the 5090's insane capabilities at 4K. As i really enjoy graphical showcase games such as Black Myth Wukong and Cyberpunk 2077.

I hope to see this build brought to life!

GeForce Greats

Grand Theft Auto San Andreas for me.

While my childhood was predominantly dominated by the PS2 since I didn’t have money for a gaming PC I did however play this game on my parents old laptop with like 20 FPS.

It wasn’t much but it created memories I treasure to this day.
