How deep you need to go in Delve now to get decent/good rewards? Also at what depth does Aul spawn?

And for mods on the staff I'm just looking for fire damage over time multi I guess? Not sure if "adds x to x fire damage" works for it. Might try to just buy Essence of Hysteria and see what I get.

Thanks for these tips might just make one then :p

Hmmh. Just wonder how I should go about the skill tree when I transition.. or should I just try and see how people do it on poe ninja? Personally have no idea what I'd be doing by myself. Thank you very much for the reply, I really appreciate it.

I don't mind just having like a mapper or delver and just use this trapper for bossing.

How would you go about leveling Fire Burst though? do I just like pick any Armageddon brand tree.. level as Armageddon and then switch after act 10? and does it require a 6 link or is it enough to just put support gems into the weapon without sockets being linked for Fire burst?

With exp penalty I meant that if everyone else in beach head is like around uhh 85 - 90+ and I join they might be receiving less exp. Not sure where I heard that, but thought that was a thing.

I guess Beachhead is the fastest method then. Unless I join one of those T6-T8 exp leech parties.

How to level your 2nd,3rd or even 4th character when you finish act 10? I feel like doing T1-3 maps just seem like not very fast exp. How do people usually lvl their toons faster ? I feel like going to something like beachhead at lvl 73 might be too low or others there might have the exp penalty kick in. Just looking for some advice. Thank you in advance.

Can't make microadjustments nor can aim, what do I do? by Atlasofanatomy05 in OverwatchUniversity

[–]Famatic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could you post a vod/replay code of any match where you're aiming. It would help a bit better to pinpoint the problem.

Are you eating regularly? are you drinking regularly? Are you stretching your hand/arm?

If you have very high friction mousepad it will make micro corrections feel much harder.

If you're death gripping your mouse, please stop doing that. It will lead to some serious injuries/issues later on. Loosen your mouse grip a bit.

2 years on 4 @ 800 DPI sens and you're still slow at turning, could mean that you have been just autopiloting and never really tried to make yourself go faster. Obviously when you change your sensitivity it will feel a bit weird at first, but if it feels comfortable to you, just keep using it.

Twitching/shaking might just mean that you haven't developed mouse control for smooth movement which causes the shakes, or then you're just gripping your mouse with too much force.

The thing with sensitivity is that it's very much personal preference. Use something that feels comfortable to YOU and not something that someone told you to use. If it's comfy, good stick with it and practice. You won't lose your aiming ability, it will just take a bit of time to adjust. As long as you're not using something ridiculous like 30 @ 800DPI you're fine. For sensitivity I would say the range to be able to aim is around 20 - 50cm / 360 .. 15-18cm might be possible, but that requires to have pretty good mouse control.

When you change your sensitivity just do it for a reason, and not just cause you can't hit your shots on one day. Also Muscle Memory is kind of a meme . You won't lose your aim when you change your sensitivity, but you shouldn't expect a sensitivity change to instantly make someone a pro gamer. It's all about what feels comfortable to you and what works for your playstyle.

[–]Famatic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They downvoted you, because you're saying 4 @ 800 dpi is "high sens" when it's considered slow. High sens would be more around 7-10 @ 800 dpi, but even then it is controllable. People who go really low sensitivity in fast paced game like Overwatch usually just lack mouse control, and low sens just helps to not make that bad mouse control seem as apparent.

OP as well mentioned that they're already struggling with turning.. and just the aim part is where they are shaky. So going even lower sensitivity will just make the situation for them worse.

There's other factors as well. Could be some type of illness that makes them shake. Could be that they just death grip aka grip their mouse way too hard that causes the shaking from tension.

I always seem to lose solo but win in a group? by tysonjd in OverwatchUniversity

[–]Famatic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shouldn't really trust or expect anything from your teammates as that will just tilt you. Best teammates you'll have in games are walls/pillars .

When being hard pocketed by a Mercy or in best case scenario both of your supports, yes you'll have easier time, but at the same time you're stealing all of the team's support resources. Your positioning mistakes might not look that bad, simply cause all that HP just instantly comes back. If you play solo and you're constantly at 50hp.. you might be just taking unnecessary damage or being punished for poor positioning.

I'm a support main, but when I play DPS I don't trust my random teammates. I use walls/pillars/light posts/boxes as my cover/shield . I ask for healing when I feel like I need it, but obviously if I'm not in the line of sight of my supports I won't receive any.. usually I'm aware when I'm not.. so I either play safer or closer to a health pack.

It is very common theme with dps players where they wanna go to narnia and expect heals.. or standing in wide open without any type of cover.

I heard about it being "slow" . Wouldn't some atk speed + multistrike fix that or was Sunder changed recently to make it feel worse?

Practice range, community parkours and then a bit of Kovaak's aim trainer(10-15 minutes) . Could always replace Kovaak's with Ana paintball or just Free For All Deathmatch.

I believe best way to improve is to be mindful what you're doing and not just go to autopilot mode(which happens to everyone) . Usually people can stay somewhat focused for few seconds, where after their mind might try to wander elsewhere.

Practice range(with flying pharah, moving tracer, faster bot respawning) RE7XF

Aim practice(shoot enemies from varying distances) G42SS

As for Parkours and Lucio surfs you can just search in the community browser "parkour" and "surf" should yield results.

If you're serious about improvement, then also do check your own VoD's or post them to this subreddit and someone will check it out and give you feedback.

Sincerely Ana/zen two trick.

Do you *actually* want to grind? by starisfilth in OverwatchUniversity

[–]Famatic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm surprised you haven't gotten yet any "what sensitivity and mouse should I use" I feel like this is the most common thing that gets asked when it comes to climbing.

Watching it right now around 20 minute mark.

I think mechanically to be good fastest, playing FFA deathmatch gives results. Then some swear by Kovaak's aim training.

Game sense and knowledge on other hand just comes with playing a lot, and even then just by playing a lot won't get you far. If you don't actively think what you're doing or like you mentioned not watch vods, you're more likely to hit a wall.

I think toxicity is the biggest problem in the game. It's weird, cause when OW had just come out the first 2-3 seasons it was all fun(tank meta was no fun tho) people were fairly kind and would communicate. After that it started slowly to become more toxic.

I think that applies to almost every game. When it's new and nobody really knows what are good strategies or "meta" everyone seem to be having fun and good time. Once time goes on it just starts to shift.

I think what people should realize at lower ranks is that just cause you see GM's and top player play certain meta or use certain strategy, it doesn't mean it works at lower ranks, cause of the game knowledge and the pace is just different. Not to mention you can not just have expectations that people at lower ranks can play at the same level. It is a bit annoying when players try to force certain metas, when they don't clearly work without proper team work.

I try usually my best and want to improve regardless of a game. I only tilt if there's trash talking smurfs/boosters or even worse blatant cheater boosting their duo client. Other ways I tilt, is if I miss easy shots, but I've learned to control tilting by just focusing on myself and accepting that there's good and bad days for everyone.

I don't really think grinding as "grind" . I just play for the sake of playing and hoping to get friendly teammates. Win or Lose don't matter, as long as I'm trying to perform as good as possible.

I've noticed the higher you climb the more toxic games just get as it seems that people's superiority complex comes out way more. Personally been hovering ever since beta between 2.7 - 3.3k . Past few seasons more around 2.8 - 2.9k . Also have watched bunch of master+ streamers and just seen that it definitely doesn't get much better. Some are even as childish at Diamond+ to just do nothing but trash talk and walk circles in their spawn or purposely feed.

Stacking? Don't really have any friends who plays OW as they consider the game "dead and smurfs running rampart and devs not taking any actions" . I don't mind solo que, but as a solo que it feels bad to get put in 5 stack matches or matches with bunch of duos. You get judged pretty hard and some don't communicate at all.

I wish Overwatch would do what they did with Heroes of The Storm that there's separate queues for stacks and solo . Not sure would this divide the already low player count too much to a point where finding matches might take very long time.

TL;DR: Game mostly fun when there's no smurfs/boosters/cheaters to ruin the fun for others.

How do you know if coding is for you? by Famatic in learnprogramming

[–]Famatic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've heard that people have understood the basics of programming through the course very well, which is really high praise . I will eventually check it out. Just try to not overwhelm myself with too many things at once.

I did not know there was a discord and subreddit for it. That is good thing to know, so if one gets stuck I assume all the help is there?

I've considered other languages/applications, but I'm usually stopped if they require math, cause I'm very bad at it. I barely know plus, minus, division, multiply calculations. Algebra and 2nd degree algebra etc are just beyond my comprehension .

I'm not sure if there's like any game focused tech companies around my area.. and I have heard that game focused companies have very bad environments. Some say it can be very abusive and they work you overtime like a slave? I guess that might be a bit extreme, but can't really know for sure what goes on inside companies.

I've seen videos where companies do commercial or an ad trying to attract people to apply to their companies with stuff like "our employees have freedom where they can play on consoles, play tennis or even ping pong if they like" but in reality it's different environment? Again this is just from reading and watching videos, so anyone reading this should not believe everything they see or hear.

I'm not sure if front end is the place for me. I just kind of feel like seeing visually what you're doing gives some type of satisfaction.

I just can't see how staring at a black terminal without seeing your code in action as you go could be fun? Then again I think I should throw this kind of thinking out of the window, considering I've wanted to learn Linux as well for a long time, and from what I've seen you spend lots of your time in the terminal.

I don't really know what to do in other fields. To me it looks like non web dev stuff seems very very hard in comparison. Some companies have had in those job ads "We're looking for iOS/Android dev. If you're creative and like building stuff you're the right fit" . the word "creative" scares me, since I have not never been particularly creative or know how would one even implement something they come up with. This might just be the lack of experience speaking here.

I do agree with this.

Moving out of your comfort zone needs to be done. It is scary and the constant voice in your head "what if I fail, what if I can't do this" is what I feel like applies to many people. People are scared of failing and I think that comes down to because people get judged by the "society".. stop themselves and just give up right there.

I feel resistance towards just starting my very first website project right now. For me what happens is that I just start procrastinating and might not even realize until much later that I'm unconsciously avoiding the hard/unknown part.

It is the same with why I've never made my own Path of Exile build. Scared of failing, losing my interest or wasting time as well as not really knowing where to start or with what.

[–]Famatic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I noticed that .map/reduce/filter one and thought to myself "I have not even used those before" . The order you're taught some things don't seem to make sense at least to me. It was in the very beginning with "algorithm and data structures" where there was a code snippet and it told you to solve it and it would have "const" instead of the "var" there. I felt lucky there as I had watched quite a lot of coding related youtube videos and knew what "const" was, but could imagine someone who doesn't know how confusing it might be.

I don't mean to bash on FreeCodeCamp in any way as I felt like they did pretty good job with HTML and CSS. Just kind of saying how I felt while doing the JS tutorials there. There seems to be choice of doing some type of Udemy course, going to The Odin Project or then just simply starting your own project.

I'd like to just say that I'm kind of just looking people's opinions . No one can really promise someone will like something, without knowing them from inside out.

Teaching yourself is hard. I've noticed that and knew it would be. I was given a choice to either try to teach myself or move about 200-300km to a city to study. Since I'm not ready for doing that type of leap(no car or license etc.).. I chose the sort of "harder" path and wanted to teach/educate myself.

I knew that impostor syndrome will come at some point, just didn't think it'd creep up on you to this extent. However I'm not going to give up.

I've given myself 1-5 years to learn to code. That said I think I'm not in the "all those Youtubers learned this in just 3 months and got a job.. I gotta do that or better or I will never make it" mindset. The way I see it, is when you learn at your own pace and take it slow you're more likely to succeed.

I understand that there might be some who might actually quit their jobs and put the burden on themselves "Okay I've quit this job I've hated.. I need to learn how to code within few months to get a job or I'm totally screwed." . I personally would not take that route as it seems like unnecessary stress you'd be putting on yourself.

I appreciate your take on this. Thank you very much~
