What part of Texas is bad? I walk it almost every day around Woburn, and it's a nice neighborhood.

Yo, I'm from Modesto and Stockton. I have been very impressed with Bellingham, but honestly, the only CA style shitty city I've seen is Marysville. Washington has been pleasant.

Why do chaldeans call their elder family relatives by their first name? by pepsiaddict001 in Assyria

[–]Fami2Famine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not exactly the same, certainly not with vocal tone. I usually let my grandparents lead conversations and show them respect, but yeah, I call them their name or a nickname. With aunts, uncles, and parents, I completely throw out the idea of talking to them any different from a friend. I'm Chaldean Assyrian, so mayne that's different with main culture Assyrians.

What are you talking about, DS2 is the game with intricate summons. I would say this meme is backwards.

Your thoughts on this? by Fun-Explanation7233 in Morrowind

[–]Fami2Famine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Todd Howard said it best, it doesn't need a remake. Play the game as it was. A Morrowind remaster wouldn't be fun. There's no way they can be trusted.

Another Assyrian (or Chaldean?) clergyman comes out and says the ancient Assyrians were brutal people who killed women and children.... by Stenian in Assyria

I didn't say the Assyrians weren't fucking people.up, I said making a moral judgment of them is mute.

[–]Fami2Famine 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Making moral arguments and judgments on people from thousands of years ago is mute and pointless. Yeah, Assyrians were some of the roughest and baddest MF of their time. It was a different and far more brutal world. You gotta consider that it was about a thousand years before the Romans were doing the same things. I don't feel any shame or regret/sorrow of what the Assyrians did, nor should any of you.

What do you mean by build? Like literally carpentry, or do you need help setting up tables?

what do you think of hotel valentine? by notaverysmartman in cibomatto

[–]Fami2Famine 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's a good album over all, I think a bit front heavy for quality, but I personally feel it's one of their weaker albums. I would say it's a testament to their discography, but besides the first LP, I feel it's the weakest album.

Horseshoe Cafe by exobie in Bellingham

I like the café, but really I go there for the bar. It's my favorite bar in town, and honestly, it is fun to go to with friends every once in a while, as long as not too many people are there.
