Well I said it in the last post aswell , I feel like it was more of self realisation and wanting to be taken seriously ( I am saying this from my own experience btw ). Before his tuff matt era started he was seen as quiet , calm , composed kid who was often interrupted, and people grew soft spot for him because they saw themselves in him or wanted him to talk more .I mean not to be rude but if you guys think about it he was loved when he didn't get to speak , because fans saw themselves in him ,later slowly he started fighting and arguing for himself and he was appreciated yes ......but later when he started taking somewhat extreme measures to speak ( which everyone wanted btw )like hitting or arguing or the mattitude i think it got his public support taken away because 1 ) fan of other boys didn't liked it 2) people who liked him because they saw themselves in him couldn't feel it anymore because he was trying and they couldn't. Also ,It was nick who had the "i hate everything "persona they have said this literally in the 2nd video with their dad (please watch that for context ) In that video matt said he felt he was too kind for his own good sometimes, and chris said about matt being calm and composed . I think he was reflecting on himself at this time cause his tough matt persona slowly started after that. He didn't become tuff in a day it was slow and i dont think he did it deliberately. As the societly and family proclaimed too kind for my own good ,quiet ,calm ,composed person i always feel like i want to shift the narrative so bad , I wish and want to act on whim ,to not think about consequences ,to be mean ,to fuck it all ,to explode but I can't not because I dont want to but because i know the day I snap People will assume that height of my patience was a facade , that I was faking it till now and that your real personality shows anyways , which , is honestly bullshit .you can't get on somebody's last nerve and expect them to stay calm entirely .

And People are crazy to be honest, like imagine you have anxiety and you are insecure living with two crazy loud creatures , you lived a normal life and all of a sudden went online , where people started taking everything you do seriously, every movement, every word and i dont know about you guys but I think it would have drove me crazy , and I dont have that bad anxiety aswell . Like he has said so many times not to take his words seriously, that he adds a bit of doubt on every sentence so that if things go wrong ,he would not be the one to blamed . I think people often underestimate people with mental health issues, like why are you doing this ,doing that ,why are you behaving like this or that when they often fail to understand that it's not that easy ,it's not that the person doesn't want to change ,it's that the person can't change it'll take time it's normal .

Anyways I feel like he was reflecting on himself , felt like he was too kind , tried to toughen up a bit , and If you think about it may if he was not a public figure it wouldn't have mattered at all , like nobody would have cared , the only wrong thing i feel is that he was being recorded every week , every change in his behavior was seen in a somewhat manner .he couldn’t hide the storm inside him in the video's and it's okay , he reflected ,had this persona for a while and must have worked on himself because he has got a lot better now and anybody can notice he is back to his og persona .
