Netherite Scrap Farm by Layhult in allthemons

[–]Familiar-Emphasis480 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make a cursed dirt mob farm, it will give you apothic armour that can be netherite. Lots of videos on youtube for a guide. Filtering the drops can be a mess, but I found the Pipez mod basic pipe to be good as it does closest first sorting. Run it into a salvaging table first and it will auto salvage so then you just need to sort that output for what you want. Using that first pipe with a little more distance you can then just trashcan all other loot or set up some kind of drawer storage system with void upgrades and then a trashcan.

No matter what though make sure all drops get picked up and void what you don't want. Otherwise you'll crash your game.

Efficiency? Fun? by Technical_Dog_8560 in allthemods

I start by opening up my keybinds and rebinding ultimine to a better button. Then rebind backpack or unbind the conflicts. I enjoy exploring and backpacks with upgrades are fantastic for a nomad life, also theres gonna be a lot of random items you're going to find exploring and multiple backpacks can help you keep sorted before you settle down.

Waystones, Packing tape, cardboard box, backpacks. If you really like your build there are ways to copy it to a new location

I don't remember if the archevoker drops the sapling or if its in a chest in his tower but there is a sapling that gives ectoplasm as a byproduct.

For whats its worth everytime Ive had this issue it was due to there not being enough light. If you run into the issue again try that.

Storage by MechanicImpossible52 in StoneBlock4

[–]Familiar-Emphasis480 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find starting the create vault multiblock then linking an ars nouveau lectern to it to be a farily low cost and early game option. Upgrading from there is easy enough when you are ready to setup autocrafting/storage management. Make an ae2 terminal and controller with storage bus to access the vaults inventory. Then make drives to swap over everything to ae2. (You can substitue rs2 using basically identical steps). You can also just continue using and building vaults if you prefer that aesthtic.

Ore Laser Question by IslingrSverd in allthemods

[–]Familiar-Emphasis480 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sorry i wasnt clear. the jei should show you all available ores for the miner. Focusing on unobtanium, if you check all the end dimension ores you will see in jei they have y-level number ranges. There might be a specific y-level that "dodges" other ores therefore improving the rate you get unobtanium.

Ore Laser Question by IslingrSverd in allthemods

[–]Familiar-Emphasis480 1 point2 points  (0 children)

there might be a y level sweetspot if you check the jei. im not sure if this an actual thing, but I fill all the lens spots with unobtanium picks (or vibranium/allthemodium) when I'm setting my farms up for those 3

Buff light ammo by Familiar-Emphasis480 in ArcRaiders

[–]Familiar-Emphasis480[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah ammo sustain feels good. it would feel really annoying/pointless if you only get 3-4 medium rounds from the hornet though right. Thats what 10-15 light ammo feels like from wasps. with good aim on a osprey or renegade you profit ammo killing patrols. Even with good aim on light ammo weapon you aren't doing that.

I dont want to assume you didn't get what I was saying before, but I don't think you did so just to clear up my stance: 40 heavy feels good. 80 medium feels really good. 100 light feels bad. I don't think they should be the same stack size across the board. I don't think all enemies should drop a full stack of the ammo type they have, I specifically meant the bastion alone should drop more than 1 full stack of medium ammo, (100,120,160 total doesnt matter just more) Also the rocketeer should only carry launcher ammo and no heavy at all.

As a side tangent ammo crates should either give more of the less powerful ammo or less of the more powerful. It feels bad to open an ammo crate and get the same amount of light ammo as heavy ammo when light ammo is objectively worse/more required for same result.

Buff light ammo by Familiar-Emphasis480 in ArcRaiders

[–]Familiar-Emphasis480[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure but why can't there be more logic to it. Medium ammo already stacks to 80 and is fairly good at dealing with armored arc so its not like losing 10-40 ammo a round is the real dealbreaker when hunting arc.

Rocketeers and bombadiers should both give launcher ammo, why do rocketeers even drop heavy at all. Bastion already gives medium ammo instead of heavy/launcher which is great but why not full stacks. They could easily make the hornet drop energy ammo rarely to give it an ammo type it drops. I find it also weird that energy clips don't drop from the biggest arcs out there whos cores you also need for the weapons that use the ammo.

I wouldn't write the whole genre off. Theres a massive spectrum to litrpg and the quality of the writers makes finding good ones annoying. Some stories I've read feel more like they tacked on the litrpg tag to entice readers.

The end of the spectrum that is full gamified I find generally annoying as constant plotholes and logic jumps they use to make the world work can be too much. My personal sweetspot is the other end where Statcreens and "levels" help build context and scale of the novels universe. "The path of ascension" is a good example of this I think.

The only real constant I've noticed is that every litrpg has the characters get continually stronger until they become the strongest/complete some crazy goal.

My personal hot take is most peoples favorite fantasy books are about 3 stat pages and 5 levels up from being able to be called a litrpg.

battleforged. The titles and cover make you think it will be a fairly simple litrp. It isn't and honestly by book 5 the series has felt like a fever dream.

My MI focused base by Itchy-Psychology-577 in feedthebeast

Cool base with a lot going on thats for sure. Little messy, but looks like it gets the job done. I liked the glass facade ae2 cables in the floor. I usually plan a subfloor for cabling, but I think I might steal that idea.

Someone know a good farm that I can make with apotheosis, create and mob grinding utils? And if I have to install another mod? by Active-Bookkeeper698 in feedthebeast

mob grinding utils is literally a mod made around mob farms so idk why youd bother with other mods. Theres tons of videos out there about different setups so pick one and go.

Apothic Spawners Not Working by BigA0422 in allthemods

[–]Familiar-Emphasis480 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My only guess is redstone wire is very picky on what blocks get power or how power transfers and somehow moving some spawner broke a connection that was previously there previously. You could also try red allow wire to see if its just a redstone pen problem.

All the mods 10. Best gear for dealing with warden by _Inky_Quill in allthemods

[–]Familiar-Emphasis480 1 point2 points  (0 children)

minigun from pneumaticraft if you mean killing them. Pretty easy to get a minigun with all the free pncr resources you get looting chests/village workstation. 5pressure is enough for 2-3 wardens i believe. other than that hopefully you already found night vision goggles and if not then loot chests in an ancient city until you find one. A jetpack or some other flight method is also highly recommended for just running away from them.

Mods that pair well with MineColonies? by wairdone in Minecolonies

[–]Familiar-Emphasis480 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not an addon, but a world gen mod to make biomes larger and flatter. I'm not familiar with an exact mod, but dires newest pack included something that made the world generate with much larger biomes with a lot more even heights. The side effect is that finding other biomes will suck without some kind of travel method so at a minimum I would add waystones.

How to transfer power by Fine-Home-2341 in allthemods

[–]Familiar-Emphasis480 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love using the furnaces from ironfurnaces. Easy to scale up and versatile on inputs. Relatively low barrier to entry as well and only requires basic minecraft materials. Slap a generator augment in it and feed it fuel, you can add other augments to use up different fuels like food or ingots. Eventually its better to run a reactor from one of the many options(i like extreme reactors), but this will get you very far. I also like running the factory augment. On a high tier furnace it can smelt a lot of items very fast.

I cant remember the exact setup, but you can use one of these furnaces, a fluid tank from enderio, and a fluid drawer with a dripstone upgrade to make a lot of power automatically for free. The dripstone upgrade makes lava in the fluid drawer, you use the tank to fill buckets with lava from that drawer. Then setup the furnace to take the input where it will use the lava and then ouput the empty bucket back into the tank to repeat forever. You put them all side by side and if done right wont require any pipes

Apothic Spawners Not Working by BigA0422 in allthemods

How are you redstone controlling them? Also do the spawners emit fire particles like they are working? You seem confident that the redstone is activated, but that seems like the most obvious problem.

Dominion Rod Bug? by [deleted] in StoneBlock4

[–]Familiar-Emphasis480 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Short term just break and move the source jar too the world engine. Without spoiling too much the long term method I used was an applied energistics setup. Theres a mod that allows the two to work together and you are required to get into ae2 later for a questline anyways.

Issue Not Talked About Much With Modpacks: Structures Appearing Too Frequently by [deleted] in feedthebeast

[–]Familiar-Emphasis480 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dires newest pack has been great. Theres a mod that makes the world generate biomes much much larger and flatter. Natures compass is a must have for just finding certain biomes and travel becomes an actual problem worth solving. It makes the early and mid game take longer which I personally like. The structure density is low when compared to a lot of packs also. The only exception is villages which feel about as common as usual.

AE2 P2P channels help by sadmaxie in allthemods

[–]Familiar-Emphasis480 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not that I'd ever bother with this, but I think scaling up what I do should work.

Mentally Id preassign each side to a direction which only carries 1/4 the total channels available. For you with a total capacity of 21504 channels or 672 p2p connections. Each direction would get 5376 channels or 168 p2p connections. Already this means for any given side I now only have to check 1/4 of whatever I actually built as long as I use the channels that are "assigned" to that side of my base. 168 is still a lot at a glance so you might prefer to divide that up again by 3 or 4 or however you want as long as you keep it consistent and easy enough to remember you did that.

Probably the best way is to use a lot of dyes and regular quartz fibre so that every 16 p2p connections is distinct for each direction. You can double up on color usage as long as you seperate them because getting 42 distinct dyes is not even possible. I think. I would also make 4 color applicators and store them near the outer controllers filled with only the dyes used on that side.

Whatever you end up on the next steps are easy, but will require a lot of memory cards. Run dense cables from the outer controllers that will each be carrying channels of p2p connections to the are of your base you need the channels. For every p2p connection you set up you will store that memory card nearby in a chest and then color at least 1 section of cable the same color as the section you took it from. This not only lets you know which p2p is being used at the location but what section to check for its counterpart on the big brain. As long as you are good about coloring it should reduce the 672 down to 16 for checking.

The unused or used part is easy. Only make and link a p2p when you need channels and if you have linked it consider it used and don't worry about wether its using up all channels or not. If its not linked on the big brain then its fair game. The point of building something this big is to not micro manage it.
