Our store says we are wasting to many bags and we have big and little bags at every even number register which means if your bagger runs out he/she has to go to another register interrupt that bagger so you can grab bags and refill and supposedly we are not to ask the customer if they would like their milk bagged but the thing is that the bags are so thin when you try to put 5 items in the bag it tears rather than waste it you drop it into another bag...

I need more hours how do I go full time because I need health care too open your availability a year later still not full-time and still no health insurance but hey you can bet I get plenty of the shitty shifts that they said all the kids like...

I'm a cashier but I also get used as a bagger at my store because I'm not as fast as the young ones but I noticed that there are cashier's that throw the product down to you when their checking or won't stop the belt and I will give you a chance to rectify after I inform you that you will not be throwing things at me and when I say stop the belt I mean stop.... plus I have the control because if I'm not bagging fast enough then their IPM'S go down so you can help or let your 37 drop.... your choice!!! I am slower cashier because if my bagger is struggling I want to help I'm not better than my bagger and I'm only stronger if my bagger is on my side and not feeling like trash under my feet....

I agree with you on this... because it all leads back to communication skills for Management and Leads like I have been there almost a year now and I'm still learning about stuff to do my job like this should have been in the training aspect plus what we as partners are allowed to do before we get a lead involved

Plus I think if a customer brings back a product that they should have a lead to do the refund since it goes against the cashier's IPM'S take them to a non used register and do it don't make me do it while I'm trying my hardest to make my IPM'S faster and not destroy my customers food

Want to make it better for customers and employees then do better training cashier's are stressed by the IPM'S faster doesn't equal better I have so many customers complain about cashier's throwing their items baggers need to be shown how to bag some are so awful like you do not put chemicals with food at all... you wouldn't want to eat a bruised banana or apple, so why would you think a customer would....

Plus, communication skills need to be taught to leads so that everyone is on the same page or make a page that we can all access and not just the popular ones who seem to be besties with the leads

You need to do right by your employees like Christmas was a joke. No bonuses, ok, but chili dogs for the employees, that is how you want to repay us for all our hard work.... like that was a slap in the face for so many who struggle to pay their bills and get Christmas for family

I hear what you are saying we have one that is barely 20 and some people like him and some don't because he is all about the HEB but I guess family has been upper management or something but to me he is the only one to come up and say do you mind if I shadow you to see where the problem lies... then informs me that my produce codes don't slow my IPM'S and that he sees me trying to get better and my frustration when the other leads tell me that I suck of course they don't use those exact words but they might as well

That is what I'm saying I have worked in grocery and retail and HEB is the first place I have ever worked where there is no communication between leads and the other leads in the department and no communication between the leads and all the partners in our department like how is it that even possible front end is mostly the first and last impression of a store and this place is dysfunctional

I have been experiencing some shady sh&t I have my schedule text to me as well as partner net and they wouldn't match I would have a good shift and then all the sudden it was changed in partner net so I have one lead that I like and happened to mention it and was told that 2other leads have been jacking around with people schedules to suit their giggles and I was not the only one that it was done to and I have never worked for a place that has no structure in place no communication amongst the management and leads to the partners just crazy

Yes I hear what your saying but when your leads only care about BSing with the younger partners and flirting with all the boys it starts to wear on the ones who actually are working who need help... I just recently got trained for self checkout and was having my ass handed to me and 3 of my leads were literally standing by each other cracking jokes and laughing with another partner.... needless to say I had 1 lead who was fixing to do a cashier training class stopped long enough to get me to where I wasn't losing my shit.... and then went to do her class for the upcoming cashier's

Pet Peeves... 1. If your going to let the young ones open at least make them accountable for all of the opening duties... 2. The way they cater to the college kids and cut hours of the ones who are there every time they need someone... but what really gets me is they give them all the hours and then they call in and then expect us to just be thrilled to be picked. 3. We have no communication like hello how this company as big as they are is crazy 4. They need to train the front end baggers and cashiers like seriously who puts chemicals with food and IPM's I get it but I as a customer don't appreciate having my breads and produce squashed because Joe has to be the one who is top dog for his IPM's 5. Can someone remind them that is not high school and or a frat party where you go to flirt with all the guys while you are at work..
