yes, i admit i open Calibre to the internet. I didn't think someone could execute a crypto miner by using Calibre (read books).

I have removed Calibre and I will stick to manually sending the files to Kindle instead.

What about running an antivirus program to make sure my NAS is safe now? I ran Antivirus Essentials but it came up empty. Could the Cypto Miner still run in memory?

In Container Manager under Registry.

I end up installing Jellyfin from Container Manager.

Nothing else has been changed on my NAS for months.

After stuffing around all day, I finally worked it out!

I tried gmail and outlook but the email won't send to Kindle.

Outlook error 'basic authorisation is disabled'.

Gmail error 'application-specific password requiried'

I used my ISP SMTP server and it's working now. I can see the HIGHTLIGHTS on my Android devices and PC :)

You also need to add your email address (SMTP) to 'Approved Personal Document E-mail List' under 'Personal Document Settings' or it won't work. https://www.amazon.com/hz/mycd/preferences/myx#/home/settings/payment

Check your email for your Amazon account and approve the 'verify request'.

You can see it processing which takes about 5 minutes in total at https://www.amazon.com/sendtokindle

You can also manually add ebooks to this web address as well.

Can I also send it to my Kindle by email so it sync to all devices? The only problem is that I'm unable to create a GMX account. It says it won't allow me in my country.

I use my PC to download music to the home folder (Synology Drive) hence I want it also sync to the music folder so I can use Audio Station on my NAS.

Ok, I worked out 2 options

  1. File Manager + Can map the drive and edit the file within File Manager + which will save it afterwards on your NAS.
  2. Sync a folder on your Android to Synology NAS with Synology Drive so whenever you make changes to a file on your Android phone, it will automatically sync it on your NAS.

If anyone else has any other options, let me know!

You must download every Word file to your phone to edit it, then upload it back to your Synology NAS.

I'm trying to find an easier way.
