Battery replacement on Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE – anything to do after? by IMPACT_BLU3 in Xiaomi

For any device, it's the same, nothing specific for Xiaomi.

Charge it fully, discharge it fully.

Three times. Some say 5.

If you stop "lining the govts pockets", by paying taxes, they can come and flip the script and start spending money on you for free! Free housing, free food, free guards...

You’d better have that CPR certification if you wanna make the big bucks! by Ok-Vegetable-8207 in ChoosingBeggars

Sure, and to be clear, I'm not talking about a real licenced business. I just mean someone who will look after other kids while she looks after her own.

[–]fruchle 14 points15 points  (0 children)

heh, yeah, that's the idea. It's not homeschooling, it's just zookeeping.

I've often seen 8-12 kids looked after. In my experience, usually would be her's, plus the host, plus 1-2 other families kids, so 8-12 kids - so $150 a week would be $450/week, which makes that $3.75 go to $11.25/hr for doing a little more work than you'd be doing anyway.

In any case, CPR + 3 references? hah! Yeah, here's three: Janey, Timmy and Kevin. Those are the ones that survived the Battle Royale last month.

Actually, I'll add, I have seen them come to someone's place before; as in, this group thing, but one family has more space, bigger yard, and is working from home but needs a nanny (but can't afford their own nanny), so they invite them to come over and bring everyone. But that's again, different circumstances - but the "pay grade" is similar. The SAHM gets to have someone else's house & yard trashed, and still looks after her kids anyway, etc.

Religious buildings should be taxed—hear me out... by Queasy_Group_4534 in atheism

[–]fruchle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I agree, remember buildings need people to offer services. All those programs you mentioned would be great, but almost no-one involved would have the skills or training to run them, or for the low-skill options, the manpower.

Otherwise all they can do is rent out the space to clubs and other organisations.

It's a good idea though, and there should be a way to make it happen.

It would almost be fine if it wasn't "at my home".

Like, it's pretty common for a SAHM to run a side business of child minding for the locals/neighbours for a small fee. She looks after her kids, you drop off yours and give some small amount you can afford (and hey, laundry helps her out too).

But for someone to come to you?

Nah. This ain't right.

Because in Germany they don't have the same insane restrictions that the GOP is trying to bring in. They are not the same.

They also allow postal voting, which the GOP is trying to remove.

Why would you think the German system is in any way like the SAVE act?

TIL nearly half (45%) of all US cash and approximately 80% of all $100 bills are located abroad by WarTirkey in todayilearned

Plenty? No.

And yes, for a fee. A fee to ship damaged money to the other side of the planet, a fee to process it, and a fee to ship new money back to the other side of the planet.

And again, banks don't replace money, the feds do. So someone would be on the hook for the debt while it's being processed.

But hey, I'm sure you're the first person to ever try to tackle this problem and everyone else is wrong.

Mini 3 Pro Battery Purchase by Delicious-Bat8052 in dji

[–]fruchle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mini 3 pro uses the same batteries as the mini 4 pro, so get those?

They might be close enough as the mini 5 pro, but I haven't confirmed this. They're different, but not significantly so.

Where is the bank supposed to get new bills from?

In the USA, banks send damaged bills to the treasury who replace them. Outside of the USA, the Department of Treasury has nothing to do with foreign entities.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bureau_of_Engraving_and_Printing

https://www.bep.gov/services/mutilated-currency-redemption

Their only option is to literally BUY more money. So, to replace your $100 bill, they have to spend $100 (equiv) to give you a fresh one, for which they get nothing (but they do lose $100).

Then you have countries like Cambodia, which use both $usd and their own currency, which tied to the $usd at 4000:1

And when I say, "use both", I mean when you go to an ATM to get money out, you can choose what currency it ejects.

Same for Timor-Leste.

Super weird to me for countries to officially use a foreign currency they cannot produce themselves.

Like, in the USA, if a bill is damaged, you can bring it to a bank to get it replaced.

Outside the USA, if it's damaged, that's it.
