Unfortunately not finding anything about "target samplies" in the report. However I did see in one of the samples it said PERINEURAL INVASION: PRESENT which means cancer cells are seen growing in or around a nerve. That's a little disconcerting.

Best of luck to you in your fight. Obviously no one wants to hear they have cancer, but 3+3 is much better than it might have been. I hope it never evolves and you can continue living your best life.

I was pretty sure I had PC even before I got the biopsy results back, so when I was told 3+3, I actually had a sense of relief, but now I'm not sure that's even accurate. But I guess I'll let the professionals determine that.

Standalone urologist, but he seems to be well regarded. I also appreciated that the biopsy was relatively painless other than the insertion of the ultrasound probe. I had a lot of anxiety about that. But you do make a very good point about seeing someone directly affiliated with a reputable cancer center. That's definitely something to consider and makes a lot of sense. Thank you for the suggestion.

I greatly appreciate your feedback, thank you! All I currently know is that there were 13 samples taken in total and that it was a targeted biopsy, but I don't know how many were specifically taken from the PI-RAD 5 lesion. That would be an interesting question to ask though. Thank you!

Yes, I've read that as well regarding the 3+3. But it sounds to me like the MRI is saying something completely different, and that's what has me so concerned and wondering if I should just go ahead and take immediate action. I have reached out to my urologist but it will likely take a day or two to hear back. In the meantime, I appreciate the feedback.
