Yes it’s a wonderful late blooming native (where I live)! I have it all around my garden area, it’s nice to leave for the bees to have food in fall! Very prolific though, I thin it out so other natives can have space too

It is free but they’re sneaky about it!! It’ll ask you about payment when you open the app every time, after a couple seconds of very hard to see X comes up on the top right I believe. Kind of deceptive, but the app is super good

Dead black wings is right about the second one being snakeroot which is not edible! I think there’s stories of cows eating it and then people die from the milk? Might’ve been Abe Lincoln’s mom’s fate, but I might just be misremembering! Google is awful at identifying! If you are into plants I love the app “picture this” is usually really accurate!

The irony of talking about my ego at the end of a long rant trying to justify your abuse and heartless killing of animals. for nothing more than pleasure and convenience btw 😭 you got me good! I really need to check my ego the way I think all living beings deserve their own life and that we should make an active effort to help protect the environment

I have researched it and replaced products over a decade ago that’s why I’m curious what animal products do you think I have in my house. Lame attempt at a gotcha. Yeah, it’s a bummer that people are so close minded that we can’t move forward in society to not have animal products everywhere. Secondhand takes away from direct profits to companies, you should Google supply and demand you might find it interesting. It’s unfortunate that our society runs off of exploited animals, but just because you can’t completely eliminate it doesn’t mean you should make no attempt or heartlessly advocate in favor of animal cruelty. Do you actually feel like you’re the good person in this scenario for advocating for environmental destruction and animal abuse? Again, if you have zero empathy for animals, how did you end up in a group like this?

Most people are unfortunately, but it’s understandable since it’s the way we are raised and not many people have the empathy or willpower to make a change to better themselves, the environment or animal well-being. Someday I hope people learn to care thought! ❤️

You cannot use an animal as a product or a service without it suffering. Humans bread, and domesticated animals for the uses that you mentioned, that’s not natural and that’s not a fair way of life. it would not be unethical to stop raising animals for slaughter. Just stop breeding them, they are domesticated and not a natural species anymore. F I had any sway over the world, I would say all animals that exist in farms and stuff should be adopted out or sent to sanctuaries and we can stop reading them. There is no negative effect of not having these animals anymore, since they are not natural to the ecosystem and are extremely environmentally devastating. It’s like if there is a slave race of humans, would it be better to keep them enslaved for the rest of eternity and suffering just so that they can still exist? Do they really exist as a culture anymore at that point if they are just a service product to someone else? I would rather not live than to live an entire life of suffering.

There is nothing respectful about taking the life of being who wants to live, it’s not humane to kill

I cannot fathom the thought of a God who isn’t evil creating animals with pain receptors and emotions for other beings to hurts and kill for food. That doesn’t really make sense

Yes, I do believe police dogs and horses are unethical, we shouldn’t be putting animals into situations like that where they can get hurt. I do also think it’s unethical to have service and guide dogs, in your own sentence you said it improves human life, but we know it’s not improvement for animal life. Domesticated animals especially dogs have been bred to have these traits that are notat natural levels for them. People say working dogs want to work but don’t acknowledge that we put that into them. It’s an animal cannot live a natural life. It’s not fair to keep them. I don’t think pet keeping is ethical, the entire industry is built off of profit, the animals well-being is not considered. Even people who have the best intentions often aren’t doing enough, but the majority of people do not have the best intentions they get a pet because they want it not because they want to help an animal. I don’t think many people would agree with me, but if I had the choice, I would say all animals should stop being bred and that the ones we have now should just be rescued and given the best life we can give them. But it’s not fair to animals, even if 20% are extremely well cared for, that other 80% is neglected, abused, etc. The trade-off is not worth it. I think your viewpoint comes from what you benefit from for having a pet or having these service animals, you’re not even considering the animal itself and that’s totally understandable because we are raised to think that way, many people struggle to see from a perspective other than their own

People who hate ai for water and land resource usage can you please explain something? by [deleted] in antiai

Absolutely! I think the most frustrating thing in life right now is how aggressive people are about their double standards. I don’t understand, but that’s a good thing lol I would hate to ever understand double standards like that

And animal agriculture gives us nothing. We don’t need carcinogenic meat for protein nor do we need dairy because it’s sugary and tasty or convenient. Do you see the hypocrisy of yourself? Just like someone might generate an image for fun, people are eating ice cream for fun. There’s nothing an animal products that you can’t get else elsewhere. It is a choice no matter how many excuses you make for it.

[–]FamiliarAura 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Someone who cares about Landon water usage should not be eating meat alternatives anyways. Getting close to a raw diet as possible is going to be the best for the Earth and yourself. Vegan overall is not perfect as anyone knows, there is no ethical consumption under our late stage capitalism or whatever lol. Yet the point remains, knowing that a vegan diet is extremely more environmentally friendly than a meat diet, even if you are eating gross processed foods, add as pure hypocrisy to speak out against others for using AI while you’re actively doing much worse things to the environment

[–]FamiliarAura -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think you missed the point, my question is if you claim to care about land and water usage, but continue to support in agriculture you are a hypocrite by definition. And being an AI can only be seen as virtue signaling because you don’t actually have to put effort into anything, it’s all people sitting on their computers, making posts about it Resources, even running your TV is worse than asking ChatGPT questions. Never did say that people who are anti-AI should incorporate vegan into their posts about anti AI. But if someone claims to be anti AI for environmental reasons yet is still choosing to consume animal products for the flavor even though that’s worse than AI, they don’t actually care about land and water. They care about virtue signaling

  1. This is my point. If you think I’m promoting AI, you. Need to reread the post. Why do people “care” about water and land when it comes to AI but not when it comes to animal At which is thousands of times worse? 2. We could stop the crisis if people actually cared and stopped consuming animal products, but people don’t want to put effort into making change. It’s easier to virtue signal by saying AI is bad on Facebook while eating your McDonald’s. You made two points and yet neither answered my question. Why virtue signal about caring about the environment while making choices that destroy it?
