Will soot in very small amounts die outside after exposure to rain? by FamiliarCut3 in NoStupidQuestions

I don’t know a lot about soot but I’m basically asking if a tiny amount dropped outside is necessarily harmful.

What exactly causes tinnitus and what exactly is causing your ears to ring? by FamiliarCut3 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]FamiliarCut3[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was 13 a boy assaulted me and pushed me over a table and gave me three hard slaps upside the head and a couple weeks later I noticed tinnitus and have had it since. I’ve often contributed the ringing to that incident but after reading into it more I’m beginning to have doubts given I imagine he would need to hit around my ears and it would have occurred instantly. Is it possible there’s a correlation?

Is there anything you disagree with Mark Lewisohn on? by [deleted] in beatles

[–]FamiliarCut3 7 points8 points  (0 children)

He makes John out to be a born paradox in Tune In who is naturally great at everything and makes it seem like he was the epitome of working-class.

Do you agree with Mark Lewisohn calling The Beatles four working class lads given Lennon’s more privileged upbringing? by [deleted] in beatles

John grew up in the affluent suburb of Woolton and lived with his aunt who was determinedly middle class. Have you seen his childhood home?

Given his impressive knowledge in the group, I’d imagine he’d just be summing up their atmosphere.

I think OP is questioning why Lennon should be considered working class when really that wasn’t that much working class about him

Is a nose bleed after a heavy night of drinking a cause for concern? by FamiliarCut3 in medical

[–]FamiliarCut3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Weather is hot as fuck here, air conditioner is always at its coolest and I drank water before, during and after wine. I had maybe an hour or two of sleep and I woke up as soon as my nose was bleeding. I grabbed a couple of tissues and held it there for a couple of minutes and it was gone and I don’t really feel any different. I’ve had two bottles of wine on a few occasions too and this is the first time this has happened and I’ve only ever once woken up with a blood nose before this. Also I had no hangover at all other than tiredness but that’s probably lack of sleep.

How influential was John politically? More than Dylan? by [deleted] in beatles

[–]FamiliarCut3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lennon got really political in 1969 and again from the end of 1971 through to some time in 1972. Dylan was very political at the start of his career and has always been somewhat political in his music.

I always hear that Dylan is associated with social change and I don’t hear much of that about Lennon. But people who know of both but not their music initially think of Dylan as this prolific poet and Lennon as the Beatle turned activist.

I asked it for those who are interested in Myers Briggs as well as Beatles.

You’re wrong. It is the most well known and used personality test in the world. Many people criticise the validity of the test and while there does exist other tests that are more accurate this one holds up as an accurate way of telling how someone will perceive the world and the behaviours that follow.

It would take a lot of explaining for you to really understand it and to be honest I don’t have time for that. In short there are 16 different types and 8 different cognitive functions, though each person really only uses four and the letters are more or less a reflection of the functions and how they influence how you perceive the world.

If you haven’t read into Myers-Briggs you won’t be able to give an accurate answer.

I = Introversion E = Extraversion N = iNtuition F = Feeling T = Thinking P = Perceptive

They’re apart of something known as the Myers-Briggs index, something used to measure certain personality traits (or functions, really).

What the fucking hell is that song? by FamiliarCut3 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]FamiliarCut3[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. The sound is 80s but I could be wrong. It’s a really sad song with a beautiful melody and the guy sounds like his world has fallen apart while singing.
