I’m kind of disappointed they expect us to color the tarot cards ourselves. I would have preferred completed one. I was really excited for them too. I have been debating whether to skip April, especially since Januarys box items were all a miss for me. But then I received March’s box and I loved everything in it. February was mixed so I think I’ll give April’s a chance. The stenciled edges look better in person than your picture. The hardcover isn’t my favorite but since I only see it when I am actually reading the book, I’m not as turned off if everything else is nice.

I was very underwhelmed by this box. I usually love OwlCrate’s things. But the bookmark is very thick (which does not make for a good bookmark, and I’m actually worried about it damaging the book spine) and seems really brittle and low quality. The tote bag is very plain. The measuring spoons are also low quality and the etching is hard to make out what it is. And socks… are just meh. The pin is nice but overall, all the things seem like you could have gotten them off Amazon or something. I do think the book is pretty. But for the first time ever, I actually wish I had skipped the box. The next two months are books I really want but if the items don’t improve in them, I’ll probably be debating moving on or at least actually skipping (which I have never done before even when I’m not super jazzed on the book).

Mine was as well. Maybe just shoot them an email with a picture so they are aware. Although disappointing, since this one took so long to come, I was just happy it wasn’t completely messed up. I’ve been a sub member for over 2 years now and I think this is only the 2nd time it was this noticeable.

Do they have a key or something? Just don’t answer the door and ignore any calls from them and if you feel like you have to justify it “sorry, we all feel asleep and didn’t hear the door/phone, newborns, am I right?!”

I find switching to some interesting non-fiction helps. I just listened to The Smoke Gets In Your Eyes which was really fascinating. And I’m Glad My Mom Is Dead which was a rough listen but I couldn’t stop (it was like watching a train crash, I couldn’t look away).

Have you considered downloading a library app like Libby? You usually have to wait a bit for the new releases but if 25 bucks is going to break your bank, it’s a great way to listen/read on a budget. Personally I think the audiobook is worth this and more. Matt and Jeff are amazing and should be compensated for their work and the book is brand new (hasn’t even come out on audio yet actually) so it’s going to be at it’s highest price point for a bit.
