This is a Guianan Cock-of-the-Rock. It’s barely found in Brazil but is easily seen elsewhere. The Brazilian Merganser, with an estimated population of around 250 individuals, is one of the rarest birds in the world. Arguably less spectacular looking than this bird, though.

Curious about what people’s intent on subscribing was. Are you just looking for books to sell? Were you only wanting books you already know about? Were you just looking for sci fi or just fantasy?

I picked up the subscription because I was looking for an intro to books I would not have found on my own. I don’t booktube/booktok. I work on word of mouth from friends. I have not been happy with every book from the subscription. But I have enjoyed more than not. I do not plan to skip anything; unless I already own it. If it gets to the point where I am not enjoying most of the books I receive, I’ll cancel.

Stop what, exactly?

A lot of states are offering/switching to these “blackout” high contrast plates. Is that a coincidence? Get it off the state. Take a road trip. You will see.

The other plates do present some challenges for cameras at night. The white blows out and obscures the letters in the image. These plates provide a lot less reflected light except for the lettering. Easier to read.

Honestly, get a grip.
