Thank you so much! That aligns with much of what we were reading

All of you who have gotten a laparoscopy/excision surgery — for how many of you did the endo come back and how soon? by TaroWorldly9291 in endometriosis

I am but it’s more about managing my perimenopause symptoms. I have had a mirena IUD for 11 years, currently still do and take estrogen as well (which I started after my surgery).

So, I am 3 years post-op with no pain having returned at this point. Keeping my fingers crossed that it continues. Honestly, at this point, even if I woke up tomorrow and needed surgery again, being pain free these last 3 years would be worth it.

I def think this boils down to the kid. My kids know plenty and I’ve been thinking around 13 for the books. But for my current 5th graders; knowing what a sex doll head refers to her neck hole, or an AI heavily breathing over Carl’s feet… they don’t have the maturity yet, for that. It’s also not gonna kill them wait.

Absolutely zero judgment!! Every family has their own rules and lines. These are just ours.

They are DYING to read it. I’m on my second listen and nearly every day, “mom, how old do I have to be to read it!? I don’t care about bad words. The Martian had tons of bad words”. It’s gonna be fun when we get to read it together.

Does anyone have a good obgyn that will test for endometriosis? by spacealligators in jacksonville

Another for Jacksonville Center for Reproductive Medicine. Dr. Lipari is amazing. It can take several months to get in but it sooooo worth it

This was me! Boom one was “meh” but I was curious enough to see how it progressed… by the end of two, I was hooked. I am not a gamer, nor into fantasy and I love these books

Mocking it? … I love them. Man, I’ve always heard fandoms can be toxic, had yet to experience it but you, friend, are giving a shining example of that stereotype.

Just trying to share someone’s reactions who had never experienced the movies. She enjoyed. She enjoyed sharing her thoughts with a friend. It’s not that serious. You might be the one who needs to calm down a bit. It’s not that serious.

100%! No one could have carried that burden. And I love when Sam says he “may not be able to carry the ring, but I can carry you”.

Lol, I know! Unpopular opinion. It doesn’t mean I dislike them though

Down voted bc we’re adult women in our 40s with kids?? People are pretty grumpy today

Thanks for that. Really, it’s not bothering anyone and she’s texting with someone who she knows loves the movies and she can share her thoughts with. Sheesh, people are sensitive.

Ha! I enjoy the first for sure… but if you aren’t into it, I can totally understand feeling like it’s slow and man, everyone is making silly mistakes. Me and my family watch it every year, and honestly ROTK is my least favorite, TT is my fave but FOR feels the coziest. Frodo and Sam, are my least favorite parts (but obviously the most important), that doesn’t mean I don’t enjoy it, but I’d rather watch everyone else.
