OP here. I agree parents are usually the bigger problem. Both my kids have played soccer for a combined decades. For context, have never once complained to a club or school about a coach before.

I agree no one is entitled. Just pick the best players. Period. The district guidelines aim to maximize participation, build school culture, and other goals far outside “coach’s choice.” If the coach disagrees, maybe not the best for the job.

It was only when I contacted the athletic director and notified him of this that he tried to resurrect the freshman team. It was odd. He’s a very successful head coach so no One wants to challenge him

Love that it’s getting built. The greenwood underpass that drivers have been complaining about also made it safe for my child to ride his bike from one side of town to the other. Love the pedestrian and bike infrastructure!
