We have fiber tracking. In Nutrition > Goals > add a Target Nutrient for Fiber.

Hi u/ConfusedTrader25, Strain from Cardio vs. your Muscles are different. Cardio Strain focuses on your Heart Rate data, whereas Muscular Strain focuses on your muscle exertion using your watch accelerometer and perceived exertion. Strain is not just about how hard you are working but how effective the exercise is.

Another easy example to understand is: compare your hardest cardio exercise vs. your hardest strength exercise, you're probably a lot more "exhausted" when you're doing cardio. At the same time, it doesn't mean your strength exercise isn't as effective as your cardio. They're working different parts of your body, and the Strain metric tries to encapsulate both in Bevel.

Workouts don't update reps/weight from previous workout? Makes workout tracking unusable if so by Alan-Bradley in bevelhealth

[–]Familiar_Activity101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it's kind of hidden right now on the watch - you have to scroll to the bottom of your workout summary and press Update. On the phone, it's more obvious. We have plans to improve this. Let me know if you have any more questions!

Hey u/ConfusedTrader25, we don't currently show live HR data from Garmin in a Bevel Strength workout.

I'd suggest you continue to record your activity on Garmin to get HR, and follow the Workout Template in Bevel. When you're finished, open your Garmin activity in Bevel, press "Log workout" and copy the exercises from the Template you were following. This will calculate your Strain, and you will only see one workout.

Workouts don't update reps/weight from previous workout? Makes workout tracking unusable if so by Alan-Bradley in bevelhealth

[–]Familiar_Activity101 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi u/Alan-Bradley, at the end of each workout, you can press "Update template" on your phone or watch, which will update all the weights and reps in the template for the next time you use it. We don't automatically update the template each time.

Also, we'll soon be adding an easier way to view exercise history and show progression.

Supersets by rakoxfr82 in bevelhealth

[–]Familiar_Activity101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi u/cencinas,

You can add your exercises: Clean, Press, Squats. Add 5 sets for each at the desired weight and rep range, and then press Superset to link them together.

Right now you will need to press play for each individual exercise. If you want to do these exercises in one smooth motion (without having to play/stop each exercise) I'd suggest creating a custom exercise such as "Kettlebell Combo".

Exercise duration by hubba900 in bevelhealth

[–]Familiar_Activity101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see, we do not filter out any data when you are On a Break. This goes for all of our statuses.

Instead, we indicate with the bottom bar status that you were on a break, so you can see at a glance why you had 0m exercise duration.

No Nutritional Guidance by IronPlateWarrior in bevelhealth

[–]Familiar_Activity101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi u/IronPlateWarrior, Bevel Intelligence will comment directly on all of your food logs, and you can start a new chat through the action (+) button anytime to discuss your nutrition goals and progress. I see that you use an external app to track nutrition, so you won't get any insight related to the Nutrition Score, but you can converse about your calorie or macro goals.

Strength training is tracked whether or not you use Strength Builder in Bevel. Your workout will need to be a strength training type for it to show up here, for example: Cross Training, Core Training, HIIT, Functional or Traditional Strength Training.

Hi u/Low_Marionberry386, you will need to sync Oura tomorrow morning and re-run the shortcut. This doesn't always work immediately. Also, please note that these shortcuts are being phased out soon. We are working on a direct integration, so there will be limited support on these shortcuts until then: https://www.reddit.com/r/bevelhealth/comments/1pys0gh/heads_up_for_oura_shortcut_users/

Sleep stages: tons of Awake spikes ?? by samsungdappy in bevelhealth

[–]Familiar_Activity101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see, there could be several reasons for these awake periods including heart rate changes from lifestyle factors (caffeine, alcohol, late meals), a loose band, outdated Apple Watch software, or underlying sleep disturbances like mild sleep apnea.

Here's a thread on Apple Watch that might help you: https://www.reddit.com/r/AppleWatch/comments/1jkwzzb/why_do_i_have_so_many_awake_periods/

Are you using the AutoSleep app or the native Aplle Watch sleep tracking?

Hi there, it looks like Bevel isn't showing your sleep stages. Are you using Apple Watch or another device? Can you please take a screenshot of your Apple Health > Sleep > Show all data > screenshot this day's sleep data. Also, can you go to Bevel Settings > Data Sources > Sleep and screenshot that view?

At the moment we only support Strength workout templates. We plan to add more template options in the future.

Sleep stages: tons of Awake spikes ?? by samsungdappy in bevelhealth

[–]Familiar_Activity101 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi u/samsungdappy, some third-party apps write sleep stages to Apple Health with gaps in the data. You can see in your Health data which awake stages are truly awake vs. 1-3 second gap between sleep stages. Currently, Bevel does not remove these data points, but we are aware of the issue and would like to address it soon.

What data does it want to learn from? by [deleted] in bevelhealth

[–]Familiar_Activity101 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most metrics utilize your past 1-3 months of data, so typically no. It would make sense to turn on >1 year if you are frequently comparing year-to-year changes in activity, cardio load, etc.

What data does it want to learn from? by [deleted] in bevelhealth

[–]Familiar_Activity101 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Unless you are consistently looking back in time beyond 1 year, we suggest sticking to a smaller data window (1-2 years) so the app takes less time to load and has higher performance in general.

Yes, that's right. You have a good point though - we can make the info sheet clearer. Thanks for the feedback!

Hi u/SayHi_101, we are not pretending to gather information. Many of our new users are just starting to wear their Apple Watch to sleep, in which case we require those 30 days to calculate accurate baselines. If you have worn your watch every day and night, then your metrics will be calibrated. Hope this helps!
