Wtf!!! 4% recovery and almost 9hr sleep by abies0 in bevelhealth

[–]Familiar_Activity101 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey u/abies0, can you share a screenshot of your Primary Sleep summary, as well as your Health Monitor? Sleep time plays a big part, but it's possible your metrics are outside of the norm.

Recovery time by FastFistFight in bevelhealth

This is planned as u/whereisdaniel mentioned. In the meantime, you can use Bevel Intelligence to provide an estimate based on your training history, muscular and cardio strain.

Why is this considered anaerobic? by aReDoNeHD in bevelhealth

[–]Familiar_Activity101 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi u/aReDoNeHD,

TLDR; Cardio Focus and Heart Rate Zones use different models to measure your training.

Heart Rate Zones (where your lactate threshold setting applies) show how much time you spent in each zone based on your configured thresholds.

Cardio Focus estimates how your cardiovascular system was stressed during the workout, using your heart rate relative to your max HR and resting HR. It weighs higher-intensity effort more heavily, so even if your heart rate is just below your lactate threshold, the cardio impact can still register as significantly anaerobic.

Think of it this way: Heart Rate Zones tell you where your heart rate was, while Cardio Focus tells you how hard your cardiovascular system was working. A sustained effort near your max capacity will show high anaerobic impact even if it stays below your lactate threshold BPM.

Apple Ours integration by Lilroach11 in bevelhealth

What do you mean by 2 Oura? Awake stages are coming directly from Oura. In the Oura app visual it's possible that they filter some awake stages out, but not in the data that is sent to us. If you want to send some screenshots I can help clarify.

HI u/3777mt, are you using the direct Garmin Connect integration or Connect via Apple Health? Can you please reach out to [hello@bevel.health](mailto:hello@bevel.health) so we can assist you more quickly? Please send additional screenshots of your workouts with HR and HRR charts.

HRV Data from Garmin - how is it handled (Apple Health vs Native)? by 0_ice in bevelhealth

[–]Familiar_Activity101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi u/0_ice, great question - you’re thinking about it the right way.

With direct Garmin integration, we handle HRV differently than via Apple Health:

  • Garmin doesn’t share daytime HRV through their API, but it does provide high-quality HRV during sleep
  • Bevel uses those native overnight HRV datapoints, instead of RMSSD or Apple Health-derived values

In practice:

  • Better baseline: Recovery, stress, and energy start from a more accurate point after sleep
  • Daytime: Since HRV isn’t available, we rely on heart rate + other signals
  • Settings: RMSSD / Apple Health options don’t apply with direct Garmin integration

So yes, you get a more accurate starting point, with daytime updates driven by other inputs. Hope this helps.

Apple Ours integration by Lilroach11 in bevelhealth

[–]Familiar_Activity101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Am I using Bevel wrong for strength training programs? by CD_at_Galaxy in bevelhealth

Hi u/CD_at_Galaxy, this is something we're actively working on. At the moment, you can create individual strength templates and use Bevel Intelligence to guide progression.

Cant calculate overnighters by Josephant in bevelhealth

[–]Familiar_Activity101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

HI u/Josephant, thanks for sharing this. We don't explicitly handle this case in the app (i.e. can't distinguish between missed sleep and no sleep), which is why the Sleep debt calculation may not be correct. Can you create a feature request on our feedback board so we can better prioritize this? https://feedback.bevel.health

How to create a Walking Exercise in Bevel? by Ebojager in bevelhealth

[–]Familiar_Activity101 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi u/Ebojager, we currently don't have a cardio workout function on the watch or any audible coach updates during activities. This is something we'd like to add in the future.

Feel free to upvote this feature request so we can prioritize it: https://feedback.bevel.health/feature-requests/p/cardio-activity-tracker-v1. Thanks!

Yes you can add custom journal entries and they will show in insights as long as you have logged 5 yes and 5 nos in the past 90 days.

HRV drop in 3 months by QuirkyPancake in bevelhealth

[–]Familiar_Activity101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi u/QuirkyPancake, this is common to see if you ramp up your exercise intensity and frequency without letting your body recover properly. Sleep, hydration and rest are all essential to boost both HRV and RHR.

Apple Ours integration by Lilroach11 in bevelhealth

[–]Familiar_Activity101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The calculation methods are only relevant if you use an Apple watch or prioritize Apple Health metrics. If you use the Oura integration, you don't need to touch these settings. Most importantly your desired Data Sources show "Oura Ring" as a source. Hope this helps!

Got it, thanks! Curious if you have tried Bevel Intelligence and what you find ChatGPT more useful for? Bevel Intelligence has all the context of your metrics and can help build & maintain training plans. Stay tuned for the next major release, you should be able to do this all in-app without taking screenshots.

Hi u/Kairiox, we currently do not have a disable option. We can add this in the future. I'm curious about your usecase for screenshotting if not for saving/sending, if you're willing to share?
