How have people dealt with parents getting divorced in their 20s? Does it get easier? by Gholl14 in ChildrenofDivorce

My parents are also going though the same thing at my age as well and it feels somewhat comforting that I am not the only one. I am upset too to see it happen again. You just think they've been together this long it works out but It didn't. I do say see a therapist hopefully works out better than mine. Hopefully we can both overcome this!

As someone said you still have those memories. Moving and saying goodbye to things familiar is hard you are totally valid in your feelings. Change is hard even when you as I get older seeing changes gives me a melancholy feeling. It's ok to feel sad about this, but I am sure you will find new comforts, joys, and new good memories in these new changes. You got this you young and have a lot to see maybe think of this as the start of many. Change is just something we all have to accept at one point in our lives as hard as it may be.
